Newbie question: organic soil and nutes

First let me say I love this site and so grateful to get so much awesome feedback anytime I post!!
I'm starting a small tent grow and my buddy gave me some of his soil and nutes to use but I'm not sure if it will work.
I have some FF potting mix and happy frog to go with it but the only nutes I have is general hydroponics flora series. Can I use the FF/HF soil then use my GH after 3-4 weeks or will switching nutes cause issues?? Should I just get new soil, as I'm a noob I'm not comfortable using full organic yet. Thanks so much for any help y'all can give!!

You're OK with that mix. Plants just want good soil and good nutrition, and they don't care about brand names. Many people will add perlite to the Happy Frog to increase drainage.

Thanks for the comment!! I know after @3-4 weeks the plants will eat up all the FF nutes, once they are hungry it's ok to use GH nutes? My main concern was giving them organic to start then chemicals after, but I should be ok doing that?

Your fine to do what your talking about .....give your plants a chance to eat up the soil a month should be good ....then start with super light feedings and gradually increase ....GL
