Newbie Question? I tried to look it up but no luck.

Good morning RUI!!! When A seed pack says 8 weeks for flowering. Does that mean 8 weeks from when you put them under 12/12 or from when they show first signs of budding. Usually about 10-14 days after 12/12 starts, I understand this is normal timing. Please tell me what you think. I tried to search it but no luck. Thanks so much. +REP:bigjoint:

Thanks for the quick response. I still have some time. I had a hard time falling asleep last night wondering about that. I should have just posted the question last night,lol. I hate when that happens. Thanks again.

Yeah, usually the numbers you see on the website are a general approximation, like he said. But usually, they are accurate, but, take that with a grain of salt.

depends on the seed bank really....some refer to the total time spent in 12/12 while some do mean on the onset of bud formation...az

I believe they mean from the onset of preflowers, until the bud finishes. Some people go 12/12 from seed, others wait three weeks, still others wait eight weeks or more. They have no way to know how long we veg or when we start 12/12.:peace:

I say from the day u go into 12/12. Watch the trichomes an when they change to cloudy u are about ready. An be sure to flush well in your last week.
