Newbie post, First grow. Soil issue & yellow leaves curling.

my first grow. my set up is 3 CFL 42w. i received the plant with 2 nodes. the soil that is being used right now is just organic pot mix with nothing else. at first i was just feeding it water with a ph of 6.7-6.9. now i have gone out and purchase some plant food. i am feeding it fish fert (5-1-1) and foxfarm grow big (6-4-4) with water. It seems like its growing ALOT faster than before with just water.

it seems after feeding it with the mix, it stopped the yellowing and curling. What is the cause of yellow curling leaves? I have read that it could because of bad Ph but im sure thats not the case. I was thinking that it was because the soil is just an organic pot mix without a lot of nutes in it. I have purchase a bag of bat gauno (10-1-1), worm casting and perlite. the bat gauno im not sure on how it use, i was planning on letting it dissolve in water and every couple of days just pour it on top of the soil (if that is a correct way or if there is another way, please inform me).

For the soil, im going to do 40% organic pot mix 40% worm casting 20% perlite. direction on the organic soil bag says you should soak it with water and let it sit for 3 days. True? i have read that the soil should be soft and fluffy so the roots can grow smoothly.

My setup is 3 CFL 42w. My plans when it come to flowering will be using 4 42w CFL with 4 100w equivalent. Im sure hps and mh power will be better but as a learning process with watering and lighting, this seems more comfortable.

Please i would love any feedback and answers. A Yes to any advice. Its some what crazy how i have developed a passion for this. After scrolling through different strains, its ridiculous how beautiful they are.

I belive the yellow leaves could be due to over watering, but you should let your plant grow up a bit its still very small. You should leave it alone and not play with it so much because it will be better if it grows by itself than if you end up killing it by over fertilizing (i know many people who have done that), but as for lighting and pH levels im not to sure, i grow outdoors and do not know much about indoor growing excpt that it must be a pain in the behind.

Please +rep if i helped! :)

&Post pics as the little thing grows up!

Hey,

First you should remove all of the foil because it can cause leaf burn. The yellowing is most likely nutrients deficiency. Your plant is lacking nitrogen. Supply your plant a vegetation fertilizer with a good amount of nitrogen, like 15%. But, your plant is still small so try not to over fertilize. Hope this helps, happy smoking!

Yup, the leaves dont look bad and i think its from over watering, but you should probally get a little fan in the too, the plants like nice air.
+ if you spray the peaves make sure the water doesn't stay on the leaves long because it can cause mold.

will the bat guano work? Dissolving it in water and it on top ok?

Plants are so fragile that young , I think you should def kick back on the water some. However please brother I emplore you-Dont try to flower w/45w cfls, I would highly recomend atleast a 250 hps.If your dead set on Cfl you need to buy Real 125w Red spec Cfls I would say 4-6 a plant.

for this week, i stop feeding it every day. its been every other day w/ a spray of mist water twice a day. two weeks ago for some reason, after feeding it, the leaves would point upwards. whats the reason behind this? its a 2.5 gallon pot. i feed it with 350mL cup of my mixture w/ 2 tbsp of bat guana tea.

update. its been flowering for two weeks now. if you guys can take a look at the picture. the leaves seems to be dropping down. im not sure of thats normal for it during the process or maybe im over watering it or maybe because i cut most a lot of the big fan leaves off. i water it two red party cups with 3-20-20 and earth juice catalyst.
