recently topped my month and a half old beauty. at witch point her shoots sprung to life. my question is do i remove her fan leaves so that her newly developing shoots get some light? cause as of right now like 4 of her shoots are unable to get any light cause 2 of her fan leaves are so big they jus completely block all overhead light! oh by the way im currently running a 400w hps on a timer set for 17hrs daily. thx

It's just my opinion, and others may disagree, but I don't cut anything living off of the plant. Those side branches will stretch on their own to come get some of that shiny goodness..Happy growing -SOHIGH-

Good news, you don't have to get involved in the decision making process. Let the plant decide which leaves it will drop. The 400w will penetrate through several layers of leaves as long as you position the fixture at the proper distance.
