Hi Casey,
These sort of discussions always stir things up. I've been a Maxi-bloom (Lucas formula) sort of guy for over a decade, but recently I had a few strains that needed more N...so am now using the full Maxi line...all two of them! Cheap...and yes, you avoid paying for shipping the water...got it right here at the tap.

Thanks for your response. I like seeing what others have used and what works for them. Obviously there is a bunch of different ways to grow. Im new. So thanks i do appreciate you sharing

So yea it seems ridiculous that you need multiple bottles especially 12 lol right now im using 3 for my entire grow. Seems simple. I like simple. Simple is good.

well there are base lines look at the NFTG base spartan regiment 6 bottles and 2 are just for ph

The tray that I conduct tests in is currently being used in a competition. Once this wraps up I'll see if I can time it right for the MC test.

No one said it's rocket science but it is in fact time consuming. Add in multiple lights, multiple reservoirs, and separate sides of the garden, and all of a sudden it doesn't seem so important to save literally the cost of 2 fast food burgers for every pound you produce, McGee ;)

I'm more interested in the results. Also simplicity of using MC throughout entire grow, and not changing from veg to flower nutes, growing in hydro I will usually change out veg nutes before flipping to flower.

No one said it's rocket science but it is in fact time consuming. Add in multiple lights, multiple reservoirs, and separate sides of the garden, and all of a sudden it doesn't seem so important to save literally the cost of 2 fast food burgers for every pound you produce, McGee ;)

honestly, the real reason i quit using bottled nutes and started using dry salts was control. i like having more control than the premixed solutions give me. between a bag of calcium nitrate, some epsom salts, and three formulations of Jack's, i can pretty much tailor my feed to any situation. i AM a cheap asshole, but i'm also a controlling asshole....

I've found that cheap growers often produce the best results. Instead of fiddling with feed charts and other nonsense they just feed the plant what it needs. The end result is what matters. Playing chemist to grow weed is for the birds.

couldnt agree more.
i "prefer" good organic soil and food but when it comes down to it im going to use the same cheap stuff. It's all the same.

I've been wanting to try this, what's your nute line up? If you dont mind me asking? Fiber pots? Do you do anything special as far as calcium supplement?

Fabric pots, good coco, nothing special with nutes. VitaGrow, it's inexpensive and just repackaged calcium nitrate, monopotassium phosphate, and a micronutrient blend. I don't use any additional calcium supplement.

Right on, What size pots do you use? 5 gal? Do you have a journal I could look at? I dont want to bombard you with a bunch of questions.
