Newbie Help _ Bud Density

I have several plants that I have harvested and several more to go...
I've grown everything outdoors and the plants have had monster buds... that is until they are dried. I've hung them in the 2nd story of the garage and they dry in about a week; then let them cure for about a week or two. The smoke is great, taste & smell.

My question is how does one get the nice dense buds? Mine are big, but when they are dried, they are really lite (and sticky)... not the dense ones that I'm used to getting commercially.

I've only harvested the Indica Aurora, but I have some really nice Super Ice that is in the process of budding now (one is about 6ft tall). Any tips regarding the drying or curing that will allow them to be nice and dense? I know this sounds stupid, but as a first time grower there is always room for improvement!

i think this is because commercial bud sit in bags too long. they get dry dry. they become small and dense as rock. lol

Commercial buds tend to have been grown indoors. The technique that most indoor growers use is called "Sea of Green" where they jam a ton of plants into the grow area and focus all of the light on the top kola of each plant. This technique delivers one huge bud per plant that is super potent and super dense. Using any other technique will likely produce slightly more yield, but with less potency and less density.

Why would SOG reduce density and potency? i find nothing wrong with SOG desnity and potency if you ask me. i trimmed 2 days of SOG of my gfs parents anf fuck they were compact and tasty. thats my opinion. doesnt change density or potency.

SOG will deliver more density and more potency with a slightly reduced yield. Where on earth did you deduce that SOG reduces denisty or potency in my posting? NOT growing in a SOG environment will reduce potency and density. That MUST have been some good shit you harvested. SOG?

Chill out dude, smoke a joint. i misread.... sorry i thought you said it reduced density... haha yeah the shit i smoke is always potent up herei n quebec. should take a trip here one day.
