Already have one, but my ignorance may not allow me to fully understand what I am looking at which is why I'm reaching out. One question: I flushed the plants last week. Is it true that leaves may start to turn as the plant converts if fuel from the leaves to the buds?

How long has this been flowering ?
To me I say 2 weeks more ...period.
More recede and final hardening.
only the calyx areas should be scoped , and looked at more than terminal bud.

One trick you can do to “ force finish “ is to begin dropping cycle downward ... longer dark , shorter light.
It will trick plant into thinking winter is fast approaching thus “ pushing “ it to finish .
You can begin cycle at 11/13 or 10/14.

I have another newbie question: It seems the "sap" on the plant is the stuff everyone is after. My question is since the sugar leaves seem to be covered as much as the bud, are they also okay for smoking, or do you trim them before curing and throw them away?
Calyx resin is sticky tasty and thick, leaf resin is light and airy. Both get you high, one tastes closer to dispensary weed than the other. Gram for gram leaf might even get you higher than calyx because the flavor molecules in the calyx are heavy and don't always contribute to effect as much as flavor.

None of this applies if you grow soilless. Soilless is light and airy across the board. Its kind of anomalous how hydro can grow one single metabolite, thc, yet no others to speak of.
