Because I didn't think giving them tap water straight from the tap would be goo for them. My plants are tiny my friend around 1.5ft. I am thinking of starting again . What would you suggest my nessesities are before I start

more lights.. if you go to home depot there is do it yourself lamp cords for like 2 dollars and they also got splitters. then grab yourself a pack of 23-26 watt cfl, and wire up all them and go for it..

dont kill it

What are the best nutes to use without spending a small fortune lol.
Also I take it I need a ph testing kit?
My leafs are slightly yellow too... Is this a nitrogen difficiency or is it something else and if it is how do I resolve this

first off get bigger pots( bigger pots equals more root space equal more roots equals bigger plants), best lights you can afford, hps is always best but keep in mind they produce a lotta heat so you need extraction, nutes are relatively cheap, i used bio-bizz range for soil, all you need is a bottle of bloom and one of veg( bout 10 quid each for a litre) if you can afford it get a booster nute for halfway thru flowering pk 13/14 is good and probably the most commonly used.....and yeah yellow leaves tend to mean nitrogen deficency. your plants are lookin fine though mate, decent colur, maybe a bit 'leggy' but thats most probably due to your poor lights. i wouldnt bother starting again although if you can maybe take cuttings and veg them while you get sum new lights/nutes and then just flower the originals and begin again. its all a learning experience mate.

get a fan blowing on them as well, helps strengthen the stalks, improves air flow, reduces mould, diseases and bugs.

these plants are about 4 months old though and only a few white hairs are appearing. is this a sign of flowering? is it worth gently cutting the nutes to increase yeild or should i just leaf it ( haha ) for now as it is my first time and im not really clued up as you can tell.

dont boil ur water... it will kill off any of the oxygen in the water, what you should do is leave ur water to sit out for 24 hours with no top on it.... the cholrine will disappate and u will be good to go. (when they add cholrine to water it is originally in a gas state, it will revert back if u give it enough time)

also you can use coir fiber to filter ur water, it helps to remove excess calcium and some impurities.
