Newbie ? about heat/sexing/potency

Hi Guys and Gals,
I've had four plants on 12/12 for close to 4 weeks, one is definitely a hermie so I've moved it to another area upstairs from ones in basement. Basement has been staying about 55 degrees except last night went down to 47. Got a dehumidifier and it's staying between 47 and 75 depending if it rains/snows/leaks. No mold believe it or not.Had fan to help dry it up but finally put electric heater and temp is about 59 now and rising as I just put it in today. Question is, the other three plants are barely showing sex and look very healthy but aren't growing either.(I think (hope)they are females) Could the colder temp be slowing down the sexing and growth? They are the same age and were in the same area as the hermie. Since it seems to be taking them a lot longer to sex, what is the chance that they will be more or less potent? Mostly I'm hoping that because it is taking so long for them to sex that they will at least be more potent.I've taken some clones off just in case. They have been in small miracle grow soil pots, used root stem. on them. They are about 2 weeks old and look healthy enough but are barely growing. I used the fan leaves and some of the smaller leaves from the hermie to make some hash and poured it over some weak buds from my first plant I grew. Let it slow dry the alchol off. I can get a decent high from it now. Harsh as hell though. I'm still letting the hermie grow as I'll soon be out of smoke and figure it may be better than nothing as I can't find a contact in my area they has anything worth smoking. Any thoughts you would care to share or guess at?

i dont even need to finish the paragraph your temps jump way to much..colder tempw will slow growth...its it possible to wrap the pots or pot in a electric blanket er something

yes, 47 at nights it way to cold, how could it get that low? is the heat on in your house ever?

yes, but the basement is unfinished with no heat until this electic heater, house duct work runs in attic so no help from that.

well try some sort of blankets or somthing to help them stay warmer..the roots are a little more important than leaves..just something you can do until it gets fixed

Well I am a newbie, so what about the question as to whether the plants may or may not be more potent because of growing slower, they are I understand not as tall or as thick as alot of pics I see on this site, but concidering the conditions that they live in I think they look very healthy. I understand about the root system also, I've got a 1500watt heater and its a 15x45 partial basement with concrete walls, floor and ceiling so it holds the cold to well, outside entrance only. Have the two windows boarded up with insulation in them also but the door to the basement has loose, rotted casing around it and a few of the concrete blocks have been busted so that the air could get to them. I've stuffed insulation into those , Hey, I am not to proud to say that I am an older female with some health problems and don't know how to do alot of this fixing up stuff so I do the best I can with what I've got or can afford, real redneck. And too, there are millions of us that can't afford all the fancey lights, etc. but we want to try to save what money we can and pray along the way we get some great smoke, and can add as we go. I can't at this time put electric blankets around them but would insulation work as I have some of that.? I do have a radiate heater in the garage that I can put down. I need the smoke but alot of what i have been doing is seeing how far I can push it and they still look healthy without having to use very much electricty. Part of that was hoping that they would become more potent from growing longer cause this is just barely decent bagseed plants, (too chicken to order some online at this time and they are out of my budget at this time also.) Any way, thanks for the advice, but would you please let me know if they may or may not be more potent, I know there are other people like me (poor at least) who have grown in somewhat simular circumstance, so what was your outcome on the potency? And also I may not have alot of money and great health but my pot sure makes me not worry about it, I'm Happy enough, well except I'm about out of smoke so although I can, and have done without for months, I don't like it. I don't have withdrawals or anything, just think about it alot. I'm pretty high off that hash laced barely got a buzz buds that I made up. Guess that hermie is pretty good as that is what I used (leaves) to make the hash. Hell I feel better already, cause I've still got the hermie growing so I can go ahead and start curing it so I'll have that much more while the ones in the basement are going. I'm sure that I can get the temp. up to at least 60/65 with the radiate also. It's freezing here in KY. but hopefully it won't stay below freezing for to many long periods of time. Not as bad as any of you guys futher north thou. Sorry but I'm glad your there and i'm not. I hate cold weather. I am going to end this with the request again for an answer about the potency. Thanks Buds, I did get my temp up to 70 and it's 30 out so that will help alot I think, although now that the snow has melted from the rain we had the basement humidity is back up to 65, but it's been higher with no mold. I've got the fan and heater going to dry it out some. It's really fun and interesting to grow this. Will the hermie really harm me to smoke it or just choke me to death? I made the hash from the leaves and although it is really harsh (like cough and gag badly every toke) i do get a decent high from it. I live in KY out in the county and read somewhere that a dealer will hang boots in the trees to let people know there is one nearby. How the hell does nearby help? I do think that is a joke, but I do wish I could find someone that has some good smoke. Don't think I've had any that was really good since the 70's,80's tho. Used to it would make me high, hungry, horny, happy, now it's just tired, hungry, horny (quite often for a 57 year old broad) not that you guys need to know that but thought I'd give you a laugh. Maybe I'll smoke the hermie/hash and take a valium or two. That should take this sad song and make it better.

Im not far from you... Although the whole meeting people on the internet thing kind of scares me... hehe. Just saying.
Hope the rest of your grow goes well. Im waiting on my Early widow and Skunk #11 to germinate so I can start them.

I also have a couple seeds that I probably won't be using either. Orange Bud, and another with a crazy name.
It was one of the free ones from the attitude seed company for their Beginning of the month (december) promo. I got 6 free seeds and only bought 3. I had to spend iatleast 20 euro to get the deal. With this being my first grow, and first time buying seeds... I was way way way more than nervous. But they came, and everything is fine.

With attitude you can pay 11 extra bucks and get a "guarantee". Which is merely an item that you choose to pay for (shirt, wallet, or coffee mug) so they can write that item on the customs sheet instead of the "souvenir" seeds. Attitude ships out of U.K. so it's not as bad as if they were coming from holland.

I dont know... just wanted you to know... I was in your same shoes, but I got desperate, and everything worked out. waiting on my first 2 seeds to germinate...

It's funny how us Kentuckians use bagseeds and get some pretty looking plants.
Mine aren near as big as yours but mine has only grew for about 1 1/2 months now.
