Newb w/ Light setup question

OK so a little help would be appreciated. I have a tight budget for now and was wondering about the setup i have for the flowering stage. I have 2 cfl round lights hanging from the ceiling, 1 is above the plants and the other is in the middle of them. The one in the middle, is this going to be a problem where it is located? Should I move it so it is above the plants like the other. I have had the plants under this setup for about 4 hrs and already the leaves are drooping down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

get some cfl's! I've never seen what you have...hang 'em above not in middle like that. That may burn the plants, what wattage are they? Lumens?

woops, and another thing, use white sheet at least on the plants side to reflect the light, not absorb it. this will help to promote good and faster growth

The lights are 2,000 lumens at 2700k spectrum. This is just the flowering section, I have a seprate place for veg. Using 4ft Florecent light fixture and 2 2700 lumens at 6200k spectrum. Thanks for the input will move above asap

ok, surround all four sides with white box, boards, something sturdy, put a fan in there to strengthen stems, get twisty cfls' at least 2. just water for 2-3 weeks soil-less dirt do not buy miracle gro ever!! too acidic; tough to grow in...

these babies are mine all under 3, 4 foot flourescent fixtures just starting 10th day of flowering, started w/ 20, one died, (MG problem), 3 went 'balls up' (male) so flouros work too, just takes a tad longer

Wow I cant thank u enough. Ill put some white computer paper around the walls. That or if i can find some mylar pretty cheap. And the fan yes I will go get one to stengthen the stems( still waiting for tax returns hehe :) ) As for twisy cfls should I replace my current lights or just add. I did some comparison's and thought that these lights would be good since the good lumen production and 2700kelvin rate. Looked all over walmart and could not find any cfl's that were warm white all of them were cool white.

Ps just googled the model on the bulbs these are considered cfl's great deal too only $5.20 at home depot

honestly, I use tubed flouros so can't help you, this is my first major crop (2nd grow) and I've always used tubed flouros, but from what I've seen being all over here for the past month, the twisty things INSTEAD of the rings, it's just better coverage, 'cause what does the center of each ring hit? aside from the floor? and yes, MYLAR is the way to go all around it then find a box if nothing else.

all 6 of my tubes are cool white cool is good for vegging anyhow, it's 'warm' you want for flowering, I just use 'em 'cause it's all I can afford right now

Mr I Can Do That For Half
I have to disagree with some of what was said here so far. Those circle lights are junk thats a given and cheap spiral cfls arent worth the time or trouble.Figure for $99 you can get a digital 400 watts switchable hid setup or if you look around you can get 250 watt hps setups at home depot for under $45.The foil is definatley bad as it will cause uneven heat and hot spots so go flat white paint or white plastic film around the room. The shop light florescents work great for early veg but if they arnt T5s then flowering is gonna be crap with them. i use 6 tube 4 foot commercial florescents for vegging then hps for flower mixed with mh lighting. You can see by your pictures your very low on light as your plants stretched way to much for the veg stage and if the light wasnt enough for veg then its definately not even close for flowering. To use 23 watt spiral cfls you will need about 7 per small plant.Miracle grow soil is a great soil to use but only use Miracle grow moisture control soil and never add any nutes for the first 45 days or so just plain ph 6.8 water to the soil.It looks like your pots are too small to and you wanna use plastic and not clay pots as the clay pots will cause transplant and moisture issues.Keep a fan lightly blowing over the plants to strengthen the stalks and keep fresh air moving in the room to promote good growth. You wanna keep temps 78 or under but not lowerthen 70 if at all possible.Id make sure of the water ph you give the plants, get alot more light, change pots,ph the water run off to verify its ph and watch the temps..Hers some pics of T8 vegg lights and some miracle grow plants well all are mg plants...
