I was just wondering if its safe to use age old grow 12-6-6
12% nitrogen. 6% available phosphates(p205).6% soluble potash(k20) on my girl. And if so how old does the plant need to be to use this. Also if I do use this should I keep an eye on anything specific? Thanks for all who help and eveyone whos helped me with this,my first grow..:leaf:

From what I know that sounds like good Veg nutrients. During Veg you want to use a nutrient high in nitrogen...probably shouldnt use it until your plant is at least a couple or a few weeks old...but for flowering you're going to need a nutrient with higher phosphate and less nitrogen. And only use nutes every other watering...and give no more than what the box says. It's sometimes better to give the plants less than what the box says...because you can fix a plant without enough nutes, but one with too much will probably die.

is this for soil or hydro? That formula will work "ok" for vegging, however it will start to be a hindrance once you start to flower because of the low Potassium. You could continue using that and add a Potassium booster, or get a different formula more suited for flowering alltogether.

Yes that Age Old is good stuff. You can start now, just use about 1/2 the recommended amount and gradually increase it with each feeding. If you are growing in soil that already has nutes in it then you should wait until the plant depletes the soil of nutes. Usually about three weeks, but that also depends on the size of the pot and the plants root structure. Age old also has a kelp mix that is excellent for young plants. Keep it simple until you get the swing of things.

Like what was mentioned, this fertilizer is good for new growth. A 6-12-12 for example is the kind of numbers you need for budding. I usually nute with 34-0-0 but I don't plant until it's well washed into the dirt. Outside for example I throw this 34-0-0 over the snow in the spring so it will all melt into the bed, By june it's ready. On the otherhand, if you put 1 teaspoon of fertilizer with a high nitrogen content in a gallon of water and water a potted plant with it, IT WILL KILL IT, or seriously damage it. Your weed doesn't need a whole lot of ferts because it's a weed. It will do better on smaller doses of nutes. It is important that you tell us what type of growing medium you are using.
