so I'm waiting for my seeds to get here in the mail. But last night we were smoking blunts of a strain that has been being cloned by a close friend of the family for at least 10 years (first herb I ever smoked, that's my only reference). anyway the strain is "chemdog". I would really like to try and grow some of the FIRST PLANT i ever smoked. Bottom line is that I found a seed in it while I was rolling blunts last night.

Would this seed be feminized since it's from a room full of females?

can I start it on 12/12 to sex it, and then put it back into veg?

thanks in advance

if the seed came from a room full of clones, it would be my understanding that the seed would be a guaranteed female. I think this because there's only female genetics present in the room to be passed down to the offspring. Also it is my understanding that this would more than likely be a hermie seed if the girl that the seed came from was the same girl in the flowering room that hermied.

so I have a pretty good chance of this being a feminized seed, right?
the only problem is that this specific seed may have a propensity to be a hermaphrodite.

does this sound right? I've been doing alot of reading, I just want some peer input.

thanks

This sounds right, but I'm not really into the whole seed game. It seems like it's too darn difficult to do the whole sexing thing.

I mean, the logic works well for me, but it seems like you might want to find someone who has specific experience with these seeds.

But the truth is that the environment can change the sex too, so you need to keep that in mind when you are growing with anything.

I mean, you can't have the males and the females within the same room once you realize you have females.

good luck.......

It's not going to hurt to grow it. I do not suggest starting it on 12/12 and switching it back, this is not a 'best practice'. It will reveal its sex to you in the veg state.
