so Id like to know how many watts min I should have for my 2x4 tent. and what the max should be.. using cree cxa 3070's or CXB (if there not all recalled?) right now I have 210W from 2 cxas and 100~W's from no name brand LED Par 38's so about 310W~ (note tilde ) the pars are about 25W~ each. I do have 50W more coming from a 420nm and 10,000K set of t5's but i dont know if i should count that.

basically what would be the best amount of wattage for that space (2x4) before it gets to a point where its no longer doing any better?

its gonna depend alot on your growing style and training.

In my 2x4 i grow even canopy of plants 2.5 -3 ft tall. i grew nice plants with 125 par watts. I decided to add more light but its too soon to know how effective that will be.

Why would they be recalled?

To answer your question quick and easy. 30-50watts of CXA/CXB cobs should be sufficient. The final number well depend on which chip, how hard you drive them, and how well you cool them.

You could run one 23w CXB3590 over each square foot. This would get you optimal coverage and allow you to use as little as 200watts while maintaining ~700 PPFD. It would be a bit expensive to build, but ~60% efficient. But there are lots of ways to skin the cat. Most are much less expensive.

i have two cxa3070s running 105Ws each plus some no name brand par 38 LEDs at 26~ Ws 4 of them total( note tilde) so about 300Ws ish actual . the par 38's are stacked as 2 in each corner on the side(vertical) and across the back I have a set of T5's with a 420nm and a 10,000K 24W's each.. so an extra 48Ws of that

it just doesn't seem bright enough to me. i want as much out of the little auto green crackxsourcracks i got .. i have 3 in 3 gal pots . using a modified Lucas method

this is the set up but with an earlier grow.. current grow is smaller.. that auto got a wee bit huge.. note the light set up...

Rough guessing your total output at about 35000 lumens, 680-700 PPFD. Another 5-10,000 lumens wouldn't hurt, but looks like you're doing alright in there.

yeah that 5 gal grow ended up with a bit fluffy buds.. so 10,000 lumens more sounds like it be a good idea.. i dont want to put more watts than i have to. maybe a single vero 29 at 2.3 amps and 40volts..
