Newb here, need a helping hand please

hey guys hows it hanging? well to start things off, im interested in VERTICAL growing. I am in the plans of ordering a ballast but don't know what wire parts I need to make the bulb and socket hang vertical (purchasing all pieces separately) Is anyone able to direct me to a site with a link and tell me the pieces i need. the simpler, the better! thanks guys! happy growing :leaf:

You just need a ballast and a socket set.

Keep in mind that there are two styles of ballast cords. Theres the "hydrofarm" style and the "common" style.

I know you mentioned you wanted to buy all pieces separately, but you can get a 400 watt hps for 120 at www.htgsupply.com ive had mine for about a year still runs perfect. just take the batwing it comes with and hang it

thats another option... you had said to take the reflector and hang... did you mean take it off?

yea to remove it, its just a batwing ,you can pull right off

The ballast you linked is the "common" style.

There's a square style and a round style. Your ballast has the square style.
