New Zealand Outdoor Grow 2012/2013

What's up everyone.

This is just a thread to show you what I've been upto lately.
These are 2 of my 15 patches (With 344 plants in total)

The strain is ak-47/big bud. I've been growing this strain for almost 5 years, and its great!
Ill keep you posted through out the grow, and i will upload pictures of the other patches.

These 2 photos were taken around December 3rd.

what do you do to prepare the soil before you plant em out ?

Usually just mix a Garden booster, Nitrogen booster and potting mix to the soil. This soil has a lot of old decomposed native wood amongst it which is good

Do you know how prevalent marijuana is grown in NZ? My wife and I were contemplating moving out that way, and was curious about how widely used and accepted it is.

The drug law in New Zealand sucks. When i was 15 i was narked on by jealous mates (Not mates anymore)
The police raided my family's home. I was caught with 1 seedling in my back yard. Had to go through the ministry of justice. I was charged with the cultivation of cannabis, I was drug tested for 6 months and had 100 hours of community service to do.

But the climate here is great for Marijuana. The town i live in is a great tourist attraction, long story short.
Every Tourist i have met has told me the best weed they have ever smoked is from NZ. And that's coming from people who have been to almost every country in the world.

But yeah its easy these days.
I'm only 19 and i'm harvesting over 80 pound a year. And i haven't been court since i was 15. Just don't tell anyone about what your doing, And you will be algood

Just thought I'd add my 2cents to your question dankster.

The drug law here does suck but generally any criminal charges wont be very harsh [Jail is not common].

Home detention is usually dished out for growing indoor. Outdoor is pretty damn safe unless you get caught either planting or harvesting so if you're careful you're safe.

Smoking weed is 50/50 accepted and becoming more accepted as time passes I guess. Its very easy to get weed though as there is an abundance depending on where you live, Its more common in the north island though.

Most people in New Zealand smoke weed haha. Well everyone i know does

15 patches...OWWH!!..

you are beginning season right now?..how much vegetative time you got to get to flowering?..here we are in the middle of its..and some are startin to flower (the most indicas)

and..what about NZ landraces? is there anything like that....? or just comercial weed inbreed for years...

just wondering..

Its part of the New zealand police force's job to look for plants from the sky. Its quite a common job for them around Rural areas.
Is that the answer you are looking for? If not can you be a little more specific.

Go big or go home

Its half way through the vegetative cycle at the mo. Theres probably around another month left till the days start getting shorter ( Cant wait )
The strain i grow was given to me by my father when i was 15. He gave me a big bud clone, and i already had a AK-47 seed that was in a tinny i brought. Bred them for 4/5 years and thats what im still growing. Its easy to get seeds into NZ. I recently used Herbies.com and got a few skunk seeds shipped in. They arrived a week later

That was the answer I was looking for. We have a program called Green Harvest here in Hawaii for aerial eradication. I was just curious. Thanks

hey bro, just a local kiwi grower. interested in your yield per plant as it being a big bud hybrid. ever heard of afghani landrace clones floating round north island? we were the first ones to obtain it 15 or so years ago, choice for outdoor on a good season. this season has been pretty shit to be honest. made the mistake of putting them out 2nd week october and going into pre flower. nice grow by the way, good to see wiring to keep out those motherfuckers! haha half my afghanis got destroyed by them this year.

Hows things man? The weather is great today huh.

With my ak's cross big bud, I get a minimum of 4 ounces of each plant. So yeah any where over 4 o's.
Nah i haven't heard of them, But i'd love to buy a few. I take it you sell them for $20 each?

What part of the north island are you from?
I live in Central.

Just thought i would join the conversation, im in the big city (of nz) and growing outdoors here is possible but very hard. just a question, what will our cops do if they find u with 1 plant? do they really give a crap?

they weather has been great all week. oh yeah thats algood. when do they usually finish up?. it's a pretty nice strain but too indica for me. cant wait to cross it over with one of my african landraces this season, next years killer outdoor strain!. my dad would never let me sell a cutting haha, but iv got those seeds coming up. just in the bay.
