So I'm finally getting my c02 going this weekend, ordered a trolmaster 4 burner that comes with the controller. Main reason I even wanted c02 was so I wouldn't have to continue to vent to attic as it gets cold(don't want mold issues). Also I was only venting to pull in fresh air not to cool the room.
So the idea is to run a y off my carbon filter and to put dampers on the ends of both y's. I figured could buy one that is made to stay open when electric on and the other one to be opposite (believe they called always open or always closed). Okay so the idea is to only have to vent the room a few times a day to clean out any gas build up from generator. (Ethylene or any other build up). So I would out the dampers on a timer and recirculate the air majority of time with the damper going thru the ceiling closed and the y returning to room open. Then when I want to vent I'll have the dampers plugged into a timer. And when the timer kicks on the recirculating damper will close and the one going out of the room will open. Any one see any flaws with this set up.
Also any ideas on best way to vent the duct that was going to the attic, I'm thinking a roof vent or gable vent but need to figure out how to do it best it's 8 inch duct.
