New tool, share or useless?

Hey guys. I wrote a quick tool for doing builds that does a lot of the same stuff as the LED Gardner excel files with the exception of being able to add additional drivers and LEDs at will. Eventually I will have it built out to where you can specify a per foot wattage and your grow area and it will give you a combo of drivers and LEDs that will work in the given space.

Right now it is WPF (fat app), but if anyone is interested in having it for wider use, I can convert it over to a web app and throw it on a server. Not sure if anyone cares to have it, but it has helped me with designing some EB strip builds and QB builds.

How are you accounting for current vs. voltage curves, did you digitize them? I mean you specify a target current are you pulling the voltage value of the documented curve, or just using min/max values?

I am pulling the published values for the LEDs and comparing with the min and max range of the drivers. Most LED manufacturers publish the min voltage, max voltage, and average voltage for each LED. I am currently just using the average, but if anyone is interested in using a web based version, I will make some changes to allow you what you want to specify as well as start doing some real-world tests on different LEDs to get more accurate numbers.

It's definately a good idea to create a tool with more flexibillity...even if it only confirms the values of another tool...
