Crazy? What's crazy is decent seats costing over $300 in Portland Oregon. I decided to skip the concert. I've seen them twice already. Once back in the early nineties and again around 2000.

You can’t take your time getting tickets with Tool tickets. As soon as they go on sale you need to get them. It looks like there are only 3 sections of seats left for the portland show in 2 weeks and they are gouging the prices to insanely high. I’ve seen tool 4 times now. First time I saw them was in Philadelphia at the Tracadero in the 90’s. Small venue and cheap. We all got wet because someone pulled the fire alarm and all the water sprinklers went off. Memorable show.:D

Actually there are tons of Tool tickets available on Stubhub. They're not even close to being sold out and the concert is just over a week away. I doubt they come close to selling out. When I saw the sold out Iron Maiden show there were no more tickets months before the concert and the tickets were cheaper. The tickets prices for Tool are ridiculous and will end up going unsold. They might be a good band but they're not worth what they're charging for tickets. I think the tour promoters control a majority of that though and Portland is an expensive market so they price tickets as such but they went too far.

Wow, what a corrupt system. You really have to know the game. I just usually stick with ticket master unless it’s at a small venue. Taxes are insane. I’m also a Maiden fan. I got to meet the band in England at the Pinewood studios back in 1993. It was the paid per view show with The magician Simon Drake. Bruce was quitting the band back then and it was to be his very last show with Maiden.
I won the tickets. I was the store artist for the now debunked record store “Tower Records” in Hawaii. All the store artist for all the Towers across the country could participate in the contest to try to win tickets to the show By making an Iron Maiden contest ballot box. I had just graduated with my MFA from UC Berkeley so I was at the top of my game. I made a huge Eddie mixed media sculpture with eddies evil mouth being the entry for the box.
I won and they flew me and my boyfriend from Hawaii to England for the show. We met the band and Nicko gave me a set of drumsticks and we chilled with them at an after concert private party. I lived in Eugene OR for a couple years. I saw Slayer there at the Cuthbert Amphitheater. Wow What a show! I’m assuming your a metal head , Did you go to that show? Aug 11 2017. What an awesome show.

In the last two weeks I’ve gotten tickets for TOOL, Rage Against The Machine and Primus.

I saw all 3 of them at the same show back in ‘93...shit, I’m getting old.
I got to see Primus open up for Tool as my first real concert. I always liked Primus, but seeing them live blew me away, then followed by Tool, oooooohhhhhhh boy!!!!

I want to see Rage as well. But they aren’t playing my state this time around. You know how that goes! I saw rage in San Jose in 92 . The Evil Empire Tour. I t was one of the best shows I have ever seen. I’m a bit disappointed that they have not released a new album. Have they? Lol.
have you heard anything about Tool canceling their tour or certain dates at this point? my Show is in June and really hope I can see them then . I am really looking forward to it . Have a nice day!
Cheers!

TOOL says they are taking it day by day. Their next show isn’t for a month, so we will wait and see.

BTW, Evil Empire didn’t come out until ‘96.

Awesome! So there is still hope. Ok.. now I remember. I left Oakland Ca in 1993 and moved back to the Bay Area in around 96 but I was up in like Santa Rosa and I had to drive all the way down to San Jose to see em.

What is everyone doing with their TOOL tickets?
the band isn’t really saying much about anything on their website Besides that there is no tour info. When I go to ticket master to look it doesn’t say anything about my June concert being postponed or cancelled. Last week when I checked the Tool website there were a lot of very pissed off fans that wanted a refund because they needed to use the money they had spent on tickets to pay their bills but are unable to get a refund.

Did you see him live?
Unfortunately not.

He was in Pittsburgh right around the time all hell broke loose at Kent State. I was only 15 and my parents said no way.

They let me go to other concerts but not that one. Lol.
My buddy 5 years older than me went. He said Jim was pretty fucked up. Robby Krieger had to help him to the microphone, he couldn't locate it for a while.

You would have loved Jim Morrison ;-).
I heard his leather pants smelled so bad because he never took them off. Alice Cooper said they smelled so bad they could stand up on there own. I loved him though. He was my first true love. I had a poster of him in my dark basement bedroom above my record player . ...when i was about 11 years old and I would fantasize about us being in love but he was already dead. Oh Jim . I know you love me. Hello I love you. That was a good Jimbo fantasy song.
