Not to bad on price but a 315cmh with lamp is only 250
Do they outperform cobs? I know one person with one but they just started using it not too long ago. And also you would need to drop some cash on ventilation for that light wouldn't you?

depends on the wattage of the cob 315 cmh will beat a cob of up to 300w. not much difference between 4 umole and 3.8 umole which is what ya get with a cmh. i dont know the watage of the above cob but from what i have seen a 300w cob (true draw) is around 700.00 and a 315 cmh starts at around 250.00. now not only is the cob a tiny bit more efficient it is much much cooler.

you need ventilation weather led, t5, hps, ect even when heat is low a full canopy resperates a huge amount and you still need to exchange the air for that reason alone not to mention you need the inline fan already for a carbon filter. the low heat of the cob makes the biggest difference in a sealed grow room with dehumidifiers and ac. the ac wont have to work as hard and the dehumidifiers take care of respiration.

I got the that whole closet thing going on. Just kinda put myself in trouble with going to have 5 plants in a 20"x44" space. One being a sativa dom. So gotta upgrade before they get too big. I could cut it to 4 plants but i'd be tossing my test strains out. Plan is keeping my closet for seedlings/clones and tent for veg/flower. So i'll be buying an hps for the tent if my pals cant find one. The light isnt pulling 600w i know that (somewhere between 150w and 200w i think at 265v) just wondering how it looks. As i still plan on an hps, for the tent
I'm a first time growing using a 1000 watt HPS light in a decent size shed and I love it. Growing 4 plants under the 1 light and I'm 35 days into flower. Loving it!! I'm not saying buy a 1000 watt one tho hah, I just have a bigger open room.

on second thought if your ambient air temp is already high low heat lighting makes a difference. when i was in a tent we had central air and the ambient air temp outside the tent stayed around 72 when i was led it was a 460w led so it did the job of a 600w hps. with the vortex 6 in fan for air exchange the temp in the tent stayed around 78. when i went 630 cmh (yep the big boy lol) temps went up to 82. only a 4 degree difference but again the fan extracted the air in the entire tent 1 time every 45 seconds taking the teat and humidity out and bringing cooler drier air in.

I see, I'm not in a tent yet but I need the smallest amount of heat possible lol my next grow will be limited to 50-60in max. I see a lot of nice results from a 315 cmh tho :bigjoint:
