New to site, also still a n00b to growing...need help with what supplies I should use

just got my lights organic soil and nutrients also some vermucilate(spelling?) and pots.....where can i get some mylar? Midnight Kush fem seed have been ordered from attitude, cant wait to start germing and growing and then smoking

I order things like that from: http://www.htgsupply.com/, they are pretty cheap on most things from what I've found but you don't "HAVE" to get mylar if funds are low and it adds up in shipping when you order single items at a time. Figure out the number of square feet you will need to cover walls go to a builder's supply place and get the amount you need in a 4x8ft sheet of insulation board. It is a styrofoam sheet 1/2 inch think one side is white and the other side is "crinkled" foil-based here it is around $9.00 a sheet.
Then when you get more funds to spare you can get the mylar and put it right over the top of the sheets and they will server as a insulation barrier from then on but check you local builder's supply for that, they may carry it, somethings can be found locally just check around you will be suprised.

good, i went to walmart to grab emergency blankets and they only had one left and the two other walmarts i drove to were sold out

seems, my payment didnt work today cuz the card is only valid in u.s., so i wont have my seeds actually ordered 100% til tonight, god damn 7-11

and now walmart cards wont for my purchase either, i dont use a bank card so how can i get my seeds, any help?

There are cards called green dot, www.mygreendot.com/greendot/ ,locate a place near you that will have them, some place will have the card some will not and you will have to wait till they send you one. But if you are going to only use it online then you "might" not actually need the card just the info on it? They are good world-wide, I use one to buy things I need online.
Wally-World is a rip-off, be patient you will get everything you need I'm going thru the same thing waiting on my sister to bring me her credit card to order some equipment. damn females when she wants "to borrow" some money she sure as hell isn't slow about it...

females, that word alone is enough work in of it self, lol, i had a green dot card from 711, and it didnt worked, i even registered and everything, maybe i need to work on an actual card?

The dollar store can be your best friend.

I wasn't saying you can find green dot cards there. I was just saying you can find alot of things for your grow at a dollar store.

well, i just back home and down with my laptop. i just succesfully purchased my Midnight Kush seeds from attitude. through thier " sage pay " it was completed succesfully and now im waiting for the email from attitude that they got my money and theyll do my order, right now my account says pending for this order...just a lil update of my progress...also got a UFO #1Magus Genetics Motavation freebie seed

anyone have any good tips/tricks they want to suggest for cloning? would love to hear what you guys do for that process...........now my journal will begin when my seeds get here



my grow is in my closet. approximately 2.5 ft width, 3ft dept, and 7ft tall. i am using the vercimulate(spelling?) and miracle grow organic soil( despite all the bad about them) 60 mg and 40v or 50/50...not sure yet...i am using cfl lights through out the entire grow...will have reflective material so i dont waste my light...starting with a 20/4 on off cycle then kicking to 18/6 on off and then finally 12/12 for flowering. i also have a fan with different speed settings to help strengthen my plants.im thinking of vegging for about 5-7weeks and then flowering 7-9weeks and drying for 4days and not too sure how long to cure for yet............if anyone has any advice or to tweak up my plans, post away!would like to know if my lighting schedule plan sounds good or bad?...

A what kind of seed?

Leave you clone lights on 24/7, once they are put in flower pot still leave them on 24/7 for 3 weeks, then change the lights to 13/11, some species of cannabis starts to bud at 13 hours, if your is that species it will give your plants an extra hour of daylight for more bud production. You should be able to tell if your plants will respond to 13 hours if not then just switch them to 12/12 without any harm done at all.
Leaving the lights on 24/7 gives the plants more growing light and at times will increase the growing as much as 25-50% in the same amount of time.

thanks for the info, ill do it that way when it comes time. i checked attitude's site and now my seeds are no longer pending, but instead dispatched,only a matter of time til i get my seeds...anyone have an idea of much ill yield with cfls in my closet with midnight kush?

you really need to get better lights. but if you MUST use them you can get a crop, but might I suggest you keep the plants short as possible so you can put the lights as close as possible to the entire plants instead of just the tops? If you were to cut out the top say after you get 3 or 4 main branches (not counting the bottom 2, I cut them off also), these will grow into 6 or 8 colas. This MUST be done while in the veggin state.
Remember this, the more light a plant gets the better.

i think i'll be ok with cfl's, ive seen plently of cfl grows turn out good, i have a few lights for the tops, and also a few for the sides as well

yea you can get a crop out of them, I've used them before for buddin, that is why I said go the short route. But if you have some for the sides of the plants then you are better off then when I used them once. To be honest I'll just use a flower pot and put it in a closet at the right times and other times it would be on the porch before I use CFLs again. I can get better results that way.

im trying to get around a half pound maybe a little more, how many clones do you think ill need if i have 3 plants
