New to roll it up.

I'd start with 4 in that tent and see how it works out. My autos tend to range from say 14" all the way to about 35" but I've seen some people get sizeable plants too. My last run I couldn't feed more than 1.2 EC, but the ones I have now haven't burned at 1.5EC and they're bigger/healthier.

You may have to feel out how they take to different training techniques. Due to their short veg time, it can be a bit of a bear to get them to recover from more aggressive stuff before the stretch, in which case you end up with little shorties. Sometimes it's not a problem and sometimes it is.

My biggest concern is how many should I put in a 5x5? I’ve tried doing research on average size for the autos but I got 18 inch all the way to 4 foot.
I would agree with 4 plants too for a start.
I have no experience with foxfarm soil, but I read its hot with nutes.
I wish you the best with your adventures, and hope you enjoy our company.

Yea thanks and yes the fox farm runs a little hot but I won’t be adding any nutrients until week two. And that’s what I was thinking to I’m going to start with five since I have 10pk of seeds and also 5 of the 7 gallon ac infinity bags.

Week four?? Are seedling more fragile then clones? I’ve also always had clones at my convenience so I’ve never started from seed. I’ve cracked a few just fooling around but never with the intention of taking care of them.

I run them 1 per 5x5' space right now. I have 2 x 5'x20' rows each with 4 lights overhead. I'm averaging 20 ounces a plant and I'm pulling down 6 plants per/row every 2 weeks then another 6 go out. Doing quite well at this point with everything dialed in.

Booo Ruderalis, Welcome to RIU! :bigjoint:

Just so you know, you cannot clone AutoFlower (Ruderalis) plants right? Plan to have huge phenotype variations between seeds and never have the same plant or measurable results. If it's not measured it's not managed.
Yea I know you can’t clone them.. I see your canopy did you top? And when did you start the lst ?

Good to know. I’m going to keep it very mild as I’ve always used gh and a few ransoms here and the but never all advanced nutrients

I think nix was referring to ffof, it’s hot soil and usually will go that long without additional feed

Yea should I do a slight rinse before I plant? I have jiffy pellets I was going to put seedling directly into ffof after sprouting.. already bought the soil..

Or transplant it into a little pocket of happy frog within the ocean forest....some people experience problems with seedlings in OF and others do not.

I was trying to avoid a transplant as I know a lot of these plays go into flower after just 2-4 weeks
Like anything else in regards to growing, there are multiple ways and ideas to do the same thing and you'll do what you feel comfortable with. Mephisto is an auto breeder and they openly discuss transplanting their autos and why....some people here transplant exclusively, others refuse to do so....I personally sometimes transplant and sometimes do not.

If you transplant without damaging the roots, it shouldn't be a problem. I tend to transplant around week 2 and it seems to be fine. There's a bunch of threads and posts about this is the Auto sub-forum as well. I've had success topping at the third node as well. I don't know that I've seen an auto flower at W2, but I guess it could happen if there were some odd genetics, but late 4 to 5 seems to be the common timing.

Ok then yes I probably will transplant. Personally I always transplant as late as possible but I was sure with the autos.. I read alot of don’t transplant the autos that’s the only reason I figured I would stay away from it but now I’m rethinking my actions as I have new info on the soil I’m using.. all the info is greatly appreciated!!!

Ok. I got 5 out of 6 seeds to crack of the chunkadelic auto flower strain from Humboldt seed company. I started germination on January 5 seeds took about 7 days to shed the shell. Now I am at 1 week under 3 p2500 VIPARSPECTRA led lights. Using ocean forest blend soil mixed with happy frog in 7 gallon fabric pots… seems like they are growing but very slow.
