new to hydro lets give it ago

Teggi here im new to hydro but have a few soil grows under my belt.
Im currently experimenting with 8 pot wilma system,hydroton. canna aqua recirculating system. 600 hps and 200 cfl for vegging, Afghan kush special and black diesel also something called strawberry cough. Im just about to flower the kush and diesel hope there female bought femanised seeds.
im married with a 5 yr old daughter my wife suffers fro arthritis and fybromyalga so this is for her, although im partial myself so far ive had only one problem and that was a cal mag def but epsom sorted that out. so im goin great guns this system makes them grow like weeds lol

I have to say Hydro is much easier than soil imo. Easier to correct nute issues.

your right but ive found that if you dont know your plants then things can go tits up very fast. Anyone grown afghan kush (speciall) and black diesel these are new to me i know the kush will get tall but apart from that i cant find that much info about them?
Kush is normally quiet a nice smoke but i dunno about this strain and ive never tried black diesel.
Also i have a veg setup going. Does anyone know were to but cheap hydroton as im not gonna use it again even though you can. Its hard to get it ph neutral when its new let alone getting rid of old nutes and dead roots after its been used?

Ive just dropped a plug onto one of my plants and snapped off a massive fan leaf, Is this gonna have any effect 1 wk into flowering?

10 days into flower and thank god there females.

15 days into flower pk 13/14 in ec 1.4 alls well and the afghan kush (special) is huge the diesel is about a weeks worth of growth behind. i could only really get 4 plants into my 120 x 120 x200cm tent as they bush right out amazing lookin plant.
still away to go. My cuttings have firmly rooted now but im struggling for room i had better slow down.
