Hi I am a newbie to growing weed and I have just gotten my seeds to pop out of the soil I have started them off in plastic cups and I don't have any grow lights and can't get any because of everything that is going on but I make sure they get sunlight as I live in a place that gets a lot of uninterrupted sunlight. As this is my very first try at growing I wanted to ask for advice on how I should proceed and any steps that I should take to ensure that my plant stays healthy.
Thank you

Feed it when it needs it.
Water it when it needs it.
Keep the leaves healthy.
make sure it gets enough light whether that’s sun or artificial is up to you.
harvest when it’s ready.

there’s the advice you wanted.

the rest my friend it’s a simple as taking care of a plant in your garden at home.

Your soil looks like it's from the backyard, be careful if it's got too much clay your plants won't be happy as it could waterlog the roots. I am not completely opposed to using real soil just add some aeration to it (rice hulls, perlite, pumice, etc) - about 1/3 of volume you should good. when you water the water should never sit on top, it should drain quickly, like within 3-5 seconds.

I'm constantly surprised by how many new growers pop their seeds before doing any research or preparing for the grow. That growing medium looks like a mixture of sand and clay and it going to be tough to grow in.

The steps to growing cannabis are:
1. Research the bare minimum requirements for starting and maintaining the plants
2. Pick up everything that is required to have a successful grow
3. Germinate your seeds and keep learning how to grow

If you don't follow steps 1 and 2, before jumping to step 3, then you are setting yourself up for failure.

Thank you for your advice I did want to get all the necessary things that would give my plants the best chance to grow like proper lighting, soil etc but as I said right now I cannot get out of my house to get em or even order them online because of everything that is going on.
Thank you for replying to my query

Then you are honestly just better off waiting until you can get what you need. What you are trying to do is like cracking an egg, to make an omelette, before purchasing a frying pan or a stove.

Fucking love this quote!!!
Thank you for replying to my question though you didn't give me a solution to the problem you pointed but even so you did tell me what was wrong and I can find out online on how to aerate and loosen my soil, as the forum says its for complete begginers who are new to growing but anyways I appreciate you pointing this out cause I would have faced this sooner or later and its much better that I know it now so I can do something about it.

Go HERE and it will help you get going in the right direction. This forum is for beginners but, just like any other forum, it's important for beginners to learn how to do some basic research on their own. If you ask for help with every little step then people will get tired of having to explain it all to you.

Its normal soil and my country is at a complete lockdown and only grocery stores and pharmacies are allowed to operate right now.

You also learn a lot by trying and I give the op kudos for that. I understand with covid going on right now you, when you got lemons make lemonade. You can look around your house for soil amendments for aeration when you pot up in size. Go grab some dirt with more silt and sand and don't be afraid to experiment with some research.

Are you sure they aren't permitting garden or agricultural stores to remain open? Most countries are permitting them to stay open so people can still grow their own food and feed their farm animals.
