What part of FL? Rain has been pretty scarce for us the last few years so you want to plant in an area with water near by, preferably something that is near a flood plain of a swamp/stream etc.. I wouldn't really bother with the saran wrap thing, just do chicken wire around some trees around them. Also don't bother wasting money on seedbank seeds. Mexi Sativas go 10 ft here
Just grow 2-3 of those beasts in a plot and it won't be big enough to bother going after with heat, yet you'll yield atleast a pound of truly wacky tobaccy. Key to surviving flyovers here is keep your numbers down~
Edit: I missed the part about planting in the ground. You definitely want to plant them in the ground if you want to get giants. Prepare however many clones or whatever you're using before hand so you can just plop them into the hole from their pot. Preferably clones as you wouldn't know the sex of the seedlings unless they were femmed or you believe in the "sexing from seeds" philosophy and if you're like me you won't get to check on them too often in the woods. The next to last thing you want is a male to crop up in your small plot while you're gone. It might be a good idea before hand to pick your spot, prepare your holes and wire up before grow season starts. There are alot of threads on here about prepping ahead of time, just do some digging. GL~
I'll subscribe to this so yell if you want any info.
