I just got my 600 watt hps in today and i was wondering since im growing hydroponically how many 5 gallon buckets will i beable to fit under a 600 watt

Have u thought about doing an ebb and flood with a 4x4 tray. I can fix 20 plants in 6in Hugo Grodan cubes easily and could go to 40 if I started flowering sooner than I do.

I think since he is starting out, the DWC is a good setup to start out with, pretty cheap and way to get experienced with Hydro. Ebb and flow is a good setup also. With ebb and flow if he makes a mistake he will kill everything with DWC he should just kill whatever he makes a mistake with instead of all the plants.

That's another option. E&F IMHO is forgiving if you add your nutes slowly and build up to optimum ppm. I have abused plants and been surprised how fast they respond to added nutrients or whatever was needed. (pH, lights to close, high temp, etc)
I have seen the roots with DWC and they are awesome. DWC seems to be used to grow larger plants. Is that your experience la9?
