New to DWC

Hi guys, this is my first post so I apologise if I come across as a complete fool. I have started my first DWC grow 4 weeks ago, I am using 25ltr home made bubblers with 8" net pots and canna hydroton. I have a 2m x 4m grow room with fully reflective walls, ceiling, and floors. In that space I am growing 12 UK cheese plants. I plan on vegging them for another 2 weeks and then putting them on to 12/12. As it stands they are seriously bushy, around 2.5 ft tall and reasonably healthy. I am using Sensi Grow A+B whilst vegging them and will be using Sensi Bloom for the flowering phase. Considering using some of the Buddha Tree Stuff while flowering to see if that helps with Bud density too. My questions for you are these. 1. What kind of yield can I expect to see from this setup? 2. Have I got enough light in the grow space to satisfy the plants needs? 3. I have noticed that there are very light yellow spots on some of the plants. What is this? I really appreciate your advice on this. Thanks guys.

How could anyone possibly know the answers to those questions? Could be half an ounce each or 6 oz each. You give no info on lights, are u using only the sun? Apology accepted, you did.

Hi, Thank you for the response. I am sorry that I did not make myself clearer. I have a 2m x 4m grow room with 5x600w HPS lights. The DWC pots are 25ltr home made with around 10litres of air per minute being pumped into the water. Once again I am sorry for missing this crucial information. Kind regards.

It sounds like you have the situation well in hand. But it is very hard to say with any certainty what your yeild will be. If you check the website where you bought the seed it will tell you what to expect. But I wouldnt expect the yeild they say.it could be less or more, but it is in the ballpark.

Thanks for your reply. I have noticed that some of the leaves, in particular the fan leaves have started to show signs that they are not happy. The leaves in question are on the bottom half of the plant. They have small yellow spots on them. I'm just wondering if I am over feeding them etc. Still quite new to this. Only my second grow ever.

Thanks again

Your yield depends upon too many factors to list but expect an oz or 2 per plant if everything goes well. Yellowing of the bottom leaves could be common light deficiency, nitrogen deficiency, or even nute burn or mold. Hard to say with no pics or other info....like what are your ppms and ph?

Thanks for the reply. Please find attached a few pics of the plants. I have been vegging them for 4 weeks now. I have posted pictures of just one of them but all 12 are the same.. Thanks

Looks like could be calcium and/or magnesium deficiency... Try adding some calmag...many 2 part nutrients do not contain macronutrients. Unless you've got very high humidity issues in that case it could be rust mold

Thanks for the reply. I will give cal mag a try. Humidity is always around 65% which I believe is about right. Thanks for your help. Cheers mate

Actually ur plants if u put them to flower now with some good nutes and a hps above 250 and lots of luck yould yeild about 3-4 oz from what i see also its strain dependent.
Also the leafs look like calmag would help or mayb it nute burn also could be salt build up.
My suggestion is check ph and rpms then would flush and in a day or two would ad some calmag but if its not speeading fast i wouldnt worry too much.

Thanks for the advice. I flipped them to 12/12 today, replaced the pots with fresh ones and gave it fresh nutes. Also installed a second pump so each of the 12 plants are getting 20litres of air per minute. I have ordered some calmag so when it arrives I will flush and give that a try. My ph is 5.8. My grow space is 2m by 4m and in that space I have 3600 watts of HPS. I'm hoping for some good quality buds on these. It is my first dwc grow and only
My second grow in total. My last grow was a complete fluke. From 5 plants, in 7 litre soil pots I got 30 dry oz of nice cheese. Averaging 6 oz a plant. Gave me the bug. Thanks guys.
