New to C02, is this a good combo?

Here is a link to a c02 tank and a regulator.

C02 tank: http://www.amazon.com/20-CO2-Tank-Aluminum-Cylinder/dp/B00ICOKQMI/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1421702011&sr=8-7&keywords=co2 tank

Regulator: http://www.amazon.com/Titan-Controls-702710-Regulator-Controllers/dp/B004MUDNKS/ref=pd_bxgy_sg_img_y

I'm still really new at this, my first time experimenting with c02.
My tent is 4ft long 2ft wide 4 ft tall.
Is this set up ideal for my needs? If I have the regulator plugged into a timer will the c02 emissions cease when the timer shuts off?
Is there anything else I should buy?
Any and all feedback or links to previous threads about the subject would be appreciated, thanks in advance for your time, it means a lot.

Tank and regulator are basic . These are perfect . It is the monitor/controller that is important to buy a good one. I use the fuzzy logic ppm2a from cap. Cap went out of business but Titan has same one, I'm just not sure what they call it . Good luck

The monitor/ controller works with the regulator and tells it when to turn on and off. It is very important to have a controller if your going to use co2. They make cheap ones... But through the years, there's a handful of things I've learned to not cheap out on ... Co2 controller is one of them. If you can afford the good one, I suggest buying it

I thought the regulator has a power cord that you can plug into a timer to shut it on and off. Sorry I've never tried this before.

You are correct . But let's say you have it run for 30 mins then shut off for 30 mins. What are your ppms when it's on? What are your ppms when it's off? You don't know. Your co2 levels need to be steady in order to be benefiting. Your monitor works with the regulator telling it when to shut on and off based on the setting of ppms. On the controller you can set what is called your deadband. This is the number your co2 will under or overshoot. If you have a 50 deadband and you set controller to 1450.. It will go up to 1500.. Then shut off until it's gone to 1400.. Then back on

I don't know the Titan ones well enough to send you a link. You need one with the fuzzylogic mode. If you go online and do a tiny bit of research you will know what's up. I gave you the info, you can do the research:). If your going to drop 400 bucks on something, best to do your own research anyways. If you send me a few links I'll verify that it's what I'm talking about .

Hey that's sexist! lol! Thanks Tricks, it means a lot, I will definitely check it out. There aren't very many female growers? I'm friends with a lot where I am from.

I've been strongly considering going CO2 and spending $400 for a good controller, another $100 for a regulator, and then there's the tank and refills.....I would be growing 8-10 plants in a 4'x8' room and still think it's too much money for the return on investment. I suspect that your smaller area will take some time before being on the plus-side financially...if at all for one or two plants.

I know someone will jump on here and point out that after one or two cycles I'd be in good shape....but that's if I get it dialed in right the first time, and besides, I just spent way too much money building a new grow room.
