have been growing in my closet that has no doors so it’s definitely not good for light leaks lol but my new rent is on its way 2x2x4 , starting small, also ordered a cheap led for flower to try , worst case I’ll hook up my 400w mh, any advice on fans , nutes etc, never done a grow to riu standards always just done shitty ghetto grows no nutes , bad lights etc,

Get your temps and humidity in control. The more love you give your plant the faster & larger growth & denser buds you'll yield.

With that short of space I'd get a bushy strain that doesn't stretch much at flower, like white widow.

What kind of medium are you growing in?

I have FFOF heard it’s one of the most suitable , also have a few bags of organic promix which would you recommend, I plan on doing a lot of lst and flowering early to avoid problems ,

You're going to get out what you put into it, so are you going to be taking it a little more seriously? If so, you should read up on some of the guides. GrowWeedEasy is a great website for learning all sorts of stuff. Lots to read here as well.

I don’t plan on growing monsters , bigger plants =bigger problems = more work I’m totally in to work hard this time and grow something great but I figure starting with a smaller space will be less stressful and easier to handle for my first real grow I’ve done a good amount of research and have grown plenty outdoors just brand new to the indoor stuff , living in Canada I can now legally grow 4 , outside I’m to worried about thieves I live in a city , indoors is much easier and safer, and I plan on running two at a time in my tent or maybe just 1 but vegged longer

The tricky thing is trying to imitate nature, indoors, but if you've got experience growing, it's not too much of a switch.

I recommend an 8 inch fan + carbon filter. May be a little overkill for 4 ft tall. The fan noise from one exhaust 6" fan, trying to keep the temps as close to 75 as possible, is loud with my 2x4x7

When you water &feed, don't save your mixed nute water, use it all. GH stated to me that nuted water gets stale.

I've found the string used for balloons is really good for lst. So are binder clips and mini clothes pins. Smart pot is the way to go for the roots. 3gal may be appropriate for 4ft tall, but not sure. I'm using 1 5gal. Get a water catching saucer. Get a thing that elevates the pot from ebay so you can water to runoff and not have the pot sit in water.

Get an oscilating fan. One oscilating tower fan just under 40" will be perfect

Starr out quart strength feeding imo. Watch the leaves to determine nute health of plant.

Use 20-30% perlite. Some people don't even use perlite with coco. I used 50% with mine, whatever

An 8" fan, for a 2x2x4 tent? That's way too big! 4" fan/filter/controller combo would work fine. You're only going to be able to cool your tent down to room ambient temps, at best. My tent hovers around 6 degrees above my room ambient temp. My room is 75 to 76, and my tent's 80 to 81, depending on if I'm vegging or flowering. Point is, if your closet is 80 degrees, it doesn't matter what size fan you have, that's your limit, without additional cooling.

Also, you can just get a couple of 6" clip on fans for circulation in the tent.

You might want to hang your fan external to your tent. Make sure you have your exhaust ducting and filter at the top of the tent, and use the microfilters at the bottom for fresh air intake.

Also, you don't need to be growing at 75 degrees. Not sure where you got that from. During veg I tend to be between 81 and 83. During flower, I drop it to 76 to 79. But, anywhere around 80 is good, and they do fine with temps around 85. But that's 85 indoors where there's far less circulation than outdoors. Outdoors, they can obviously handle temps much higher.
