We are working on making the site a little more intuitive.
Is there anyway to get Paypal affiliation? Since your products aren't directly connected to Cannabis cultivation, it might be a worthwhile consideration. Even if you applied a minor markup to cover Paypal expenses for the transaction, it would offer many buyers 6 months zero interest.

Just a thought.

Anyone using these quantum boards from meijiu in a commercial application? If so, would they pass permit inspection for electrical?

There many growers sprinkled around RIU that jumped on the Chinese knockoff train ....
Here is mostly the HLG “ real “ QBs .... those you mention among others , like zeus , wavy , chow Ming bing bong are of questionable performance. They SAY they are using a certain component but because one gets a TESTER or Factory Sample board doesn’t necessarily mean they are of any value. Questions for your board choice should be directed to the “ manufacturer “ which is in mainland China .... probably next to the noodle kitchen. Mass produced clones ar3 there for cheap easy sales ... in bulk or by resellers. They are NOT DESIGNED to be bulletproof, and run all over the place in quality.

HLG “ matches “ board sets in Vf voltages as to ensure compatibility and prevent variables in each board. Chinese Wang Chung boards do not as I would be afraid to run more than one board .... thermal runaway , solder mask , sub standard b-stock leds , actual knockoff chips of supposed chips used , etc.

When you get HLG ... you get exactly what you paid for .... plus ...... customer service is stellar.

You will absolutely NOT get that with any other VERSION of the QB.

Apart from the zeus, which are decent boards. I cant believe people actually buy these replicas. I got some samples done a while back when i was going to do my own boards/strips and not one passed a visual quality inspection, nevermind electrical.

But you will also be paying twice the price.. for a 10-20% better perfomance at most with hlg.. knock off are worth it for many of us.. it has ben documented in many thread on this forum and they grow good and due to a very simple concept: led on a board - failure rate is extremely low (i can probably count on 1 hand the number of issues ive seen with chinese board).. to each their own but they are not as bad as some people think they are

Ok, so I read a shit ton of stuff in this thread... a shit ton of speculation and accusations, but no hard evidence that the boards are inferior quality. Obviously you get what you pay for, but that doesn't mean paying for the markup on price will get you more bang for the buck, especially if these boards do the same thing, produce the same lumens etc... I still haven't seen a side by side grow of a HLG and a Meijiu board. F*#$ the noise. If you're ordering 1000 panels, send a guy down there to micromanage the production or get a 3rd party inspection company to control it. Bottom line... You're getting 800 Samsung diodes on a board for $80, the LED's are indestinguishable, and you are still getting more lumens/$ and growing dank donkeys. Negotiate a fully refunded purchase if the specs are not as advertised, and have them agree to pay for the return shipping as well, in writing.

See what happens when a China board breaks and when an HLG board has an issue...
well, i could buy 5 more chinese boards and still have enough money left over for 5 more ... so of course he's happy to replace a board for you no problem, you already paid him for 10 ... and here's a little hint .... HLG boards are made in china

hey @EmeraldØsiris when i purchased my chinese boards i got the exact same style (304s) and they are powered by the exact same drivers (HLG-320-C1400A) as my HLG quantum boards ... i don't have a PAR meter but i can use a smartphone LUX meter and compare the chinese boards to the HLG boards and see how close it is ... but i also told meijiu i had heard rumors of swapping out diodes and that i was only placing a small sample order to check quality before making a large order - so i may have received different diodes... i definitely did not receive the B or B+ but i think mine are S5 instead of S6

Ive had things from Meijiu and the quality is good. Im getting the feeling that:
1: yes, quantum boards use superior super top bin diodes= lowest voltage bin and highest flux bin for best lum/w.
2: Meijiu, at least on what i tried, use top flux bin (for lm561c) but mid voltage bin. Means the boards have a slightly higer voltage so spend a little bit more energy to get the same amount of light. To me that doesnt really mean anything: id use the same driver, same current, to get the same amount of light. Only that the driver would use a little bit more power. And it cost less than a 3rd before shipping.
This is nothing i can prove but an educated guess based on the specs of these boards.

3: at those prices i could just get 3 boards instead of one and spread the current over the 3 boards. Reducing current to a 3rd would give me an approximate 10-15% effectivety boost. Even if the boards are s5 id still see more light, have better spread than on a qb run 3 times as hard. Added bonus: at lower wattage the boards run much cooler, approaching the point where i can run them without heatsink. Just sticking the boards to a frame, could even use a bit of gloe or silicon and ready to go.

Edit: one caveat: id wouldnt want to try messing around with meijius connectors, they look a bit flimsy and i had 1 bad connector (no biggie, as they all came with double connectors :) ) on a total of 27 boards. Easy to work around, get a short cable to a 2 way wago, glue it firmly to the frame and you will never have a situation where the power cable tugs directly on the boards connector.
