New setup

Planning out my grow room right now. I have it split into two areas. I plan on having 8 to 10 plants on each side (veg and flower). As I understand, the CFL lights are best for veg?

My flower side will be slightly larger than the veg side. It should end up around 9 x 6 feet. I plan on doing two 600w HPS lights with one carbon canister on the end of one and snaking it through the other to an inline fan and vented outside. Does this light wattage and setup sound ok? Who makes a good quality light?

A 600 will be good for roughly a 5x5 area, and go with T5HO for veg, If you want a great veg.

Did a little more reading. I plan on doing a ebb and flow hydro system using 2 gal buckets. I think I may go with a single 1000w hps light for the flower room. I don't plan on using all that space, I need a little room to work too. And either an MH or a florescent for the veg room.

If I go florescent in the veg room, can I just tee off of the exhaust in my flower room and pull air from the veg room as well? I plan on having passive intakes on both rooms for now.

Oh..and who makes a good HPS light...maybe even a model number? thanks!

I would go with the T5s (ofcourse) in veg, because they are not as hot as MH and I beleive you get a bigger and healthy veg. I had 2 600 mh in veg once and I toook down as soon as summer started and switched to t5s.
In flower I would go with 600 hps for a 5x5 and 2 600 for a 6x6 -12x12 One 600 will do the same as one 1000 because you cna get them closer to the plant, but it depende on how much space too (width,etc).
The bulb that puts out the best spectrum is Hortilux I believe. And you need a Ballast so go with the best out, Lumatek. They are Awesome. I just picked up a 600mh/hps for $240. last night.
Yeah you can pull air from veg over to flower and out, just make sure you have plenty of fresh air in veg rooom so flower room is not geting left overs.

I guess I should have clarified on the venting. I don't need the air from the veg room, I just want to vent it out using the same ducting as the flower room. I don't want to have to buy two inline fans.

As for the light. I think i'll end up with a 8x5.5 area. I want to have around 8 to 10 plants. I still can't decide on the light, as i've read so much.

Is there any particular brand of housing? I'm looking to get a complete setup with the light, ballast, tube, etc. When people say cool tubes, is that a brand, or just the venting style of the light?
