I've got some auto flowering Bubblegum Kush Autos that are about 8 days from sprout. The seedlings are growing fast.
So fast, that the leaves have already extended out beyond the edge of the Solo cup a little. I've read that when they get to this stage, they are ready to transplant. However, I'm thinking it's too early and they probably haven't developed much of a root system in such a short amount of time. I assuming it's OK to let them develop a bit longer in the Solo cup to get more root development so the seedlings don't appear as fragile as they are now. Some say that when the leaves extend about an inch past the Solo cup edge, they are ready to be transplanted. Others say to let them grow in the cup until you see roots protruding from the drain holes (or at least let them get some more root mass). <--- Maybe that way, the root mass will keep the soil together better when I go to transplant them.
Edit: I'll transplant them soon. I suppose I was asking about the Solo cup method vs. many other types of seed and sprouting methods. I went the cheapest route...Solo cup, FF dirt, Great White growth powder. These things are taking off like...like...weeds. A far cry from my previous Pineapple Express clone grow. It took, like, 4 days to notice any growth. That happens overnight with this Auto grow. Same tent setup.
