New Room Setup

Okay i think I have been asking my questions wrong....So here we go

I want to do two 4x4 trays with 2 1k lights.....
What 8 inch hood is best for first off for cooling and second light spread?

sound like a good set up u want to do. for cooling a cool tube would cool better, due to the heat going straight through the good. where as a reflector heat sits in the square hood on the sides,but still very usable. and ive have to say a good reflector is better for coverage.

magnum xxls def if u got the room i run 2 viper 6's over 5 3x3 trays and love it

I would go with a nicer ac hood. The cool tubes may cool slightly better but the footprint is horrible, its got bad hot spots.
The nicer hoods for a 4x4 are either a raptor or magnum xxxl but if they are too pricey for you a yield master should also work but not as nice as the others,

Ive heard the raptors leak alot of air,no bueno if you run co2,Id check out the magnumxxl.

Adjust a wings are pretty bad ass, i use the smaller, 600 watt size. they give you excellent coverage and also disperse the heat well. I agree with Whodatnation, I would definitely not go with cool tubes.

What do you mean by "8 inch hood"?
