New Perpetual Grow: Sharksbreath, Violator Kush, Pure Ak, Hashplant Haze and more

Right off the bat welcome to my new perpetual grow. Feel free to grab a seat, and feel free to ask questions, comment or give advice.

I have a perpetual grow going again after recovering from a flooded apartment and a move. I have a few strains that Ive kept into this grow and a few new ones that I have seedlings of, so far here's what were running with so far:
DNA Genetics: Sharksbreath (seedlings) and Hashplant Haze (clones)
Barneys Farm Violator Kush (clones)
Female Seeds X Line Pure AK (3 weeks old seedlings)
G13 Labs Lockstock
Dinafem Sweet Deep grapefruit (just germinated) and Roadrunner


Im using Foxfarm Ocean Forest for soil. For nutes the vegging plants get Alaskan Fish Emulsions and the flowering plants get the fish emulsion and Big Bloom. All plants get molasses every watering.


Here's the layout:
Veg Space is a Sterilite cabinet I painted white inside and black outside. I cut holes into the back for intake and exhaust. Heres a pic from the outsider w/ the door cracked, its pretty much lightproof, just need a small strip of weatherstripping for the door seam




The top half of the cabinet is dedicated to rooting clones and just rooted clones. I have 2 26 watt CFL's for lighting the baby clones.
The clones root in a plastic cake container thing I grabbed at Walmart for $2 and works great, theres a heating pad under the dome.



The bottom half is for the vegging clones (and right now seedlings) Im using a 150 watt HPS and a couple 26 watt CFL's for lighting. Pictured here are a few Hashplant clones that just rooted along w/ 3.5 week old plants from seed of DNA Genetics Sharksbreath and Pure AK from Female Seeds.
Gonna be adding 2 more 26 watt CFl for the left of the HPS hood as soon as I can grab some bulbs.

Violator Kush just rooted and came out of dome today:

Flowering is done under a 400 watt HPS that I use a 4 inch inline fan for exhaust and a window fan for intake, sorry about pic. quality

Im definitely tuning in on this one. Sounds very interesting. And the multiple strains your growing makes it that much more tempting to watch. This is the kind of grow you would see in a magazine (if there was one) called Home & Cannabis.

Cool, I'm glad you like.

Ive had a perpetual grow going for a little while, I had to move due to our place being flooded. Ive been running the Hashplant Haze and Violator Kush for about a year now. I grew out 4 other strains too, but the VK and HPH made the grade and stayed in the grow.

The Pure AK is a new strain to me, I have 2 AK plants that are heads and tails above the others. real vigorous growth on those 2, there are a ton of nodes that are packed tightly together. Im looking forward to taking clones and flowering the AK, so far they look very promising.

The Sharksbreath Ive grown before and fell in love with. I got a single seed as a freebie w/ an order and grew it out without taking any clones ............so I had to grab a 6 pack and start that strain from seed all over again. Gotta say Im pumped for the SB, the one plant I grew out went through a lot of abuse and still produced some of the best smoke Ive had in 20+ years of smoking.

Trey, the Sb smells and tastes real distinct. Has a nice sweet sandalwood taste and smell, like nothing else ive ever smoked before.

Heres the update for this week. I switched over my bloom nutes to Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Bloom and it seems like the ladies are loving it.....my feeding schedule in bloom right now is: Nutes, water w/ molasses, fish emulsion, water only

Seems to be working well so far, plants are all staying a nice dark green and flower development seems a little quicker than I have been getting. I also added a new intake fan for my 400 HPS and its working out great. I can leave my hand on the glass of the hood and its not even warm

The plants are loving the Botanicae nutes along w/the fish emulsions, especially the Sharksbreath. The SB seems to be able to take tons of nutes. All is well, have the top of the veg cabinet full of rooting clones and the bottom is nice and full w/ the next round of SB, AK and AV.

Heres this weeks pics, all is well. I popped a California Hashplant seed from Dinafem, gotta say im impressed. It germinated and popped soil in 3 days total.


Pure AK: Starting to bulk up and smell is getting stonger, doesnt seem to like nutes or too much light, cant handle direct close light like my other strains. Got a little light burn and had to move her away from being right under the bulb



Sharksbreath: Starting to get some trichomes and a little sandalwood smell, gonna be a nice yielder




Violator Kush: Getting frostier and denser every day as always.



Hashplant HazeThe second last of my Hashplant Haze, though I will probably be keeping 1 cut just in case the Hashplant isnt as good.

Nice, got the violator starting now. was your seeds slow starting cause its my slowest starting for me.

Yeah, i little slow to start, once you flip to flowering they respond a little quicker than most strains Ive run........

Im gonna update tonight, I gotta take some current pics when the flowering light comes on...I found a real keeper pheno in the AK's. Its at 6 weeks right now and has a much stronger smell than all the other AK's, and is the frostiest plant Ive grown in a long time. Getting ready to grab another light to add to the fllowering area, new strains etc etc.....Ill be back tonight w/ pics

Alright, back w/ the update and a few pics I got just before my light went on in the flowering room.

Im upgrading my equipment, gonna be supplementing my 400 watt HPS that I use for flowering w/ a 240 watt Blackstar LED, will be ordering when Im done here. I have the Mother plant of Dinafem Cali. Hashplant just started flowering. Took a few cuttings and they seem to root easily.

PURE AK
Great news w/ the Pure AK, Im super happy w/ the strain, props to FMS for such great beans at a low cost..I have 1 plant that is a different pheno from the rest. It has a fruit smell (none of the other AK's do) and is super frosty. Heres the first one at 40 days, glad I labeled and took clones from every plant, this pheno is great:

Sharksbreath:
I gotta admit, im pretty bummed w/ the Sharksbreath. Not one of the plants was like the one I grew out before. Not good trichome coverage, not the same smell or taste as before. Gotta wonder what happened, they share no similarity w/ the SB I grew out before. So with it being not up to par w/ my other strains it is out of the grow. So Ill be trying out 2 more stains soon. Definitley grabbing something from FMS, and the other is gonna be Sensi Seeds Super Skunk.

Will update again when the LED gets here and I reorganize my flowering space.

LED is ordered and on the way will be going into the flowering area......gonna clean and redo both areas. Grabbing Mylar etc.....lotsa stuff in the works so Im gonna close out this grow for now, have a bigger improved new log up after lights gets here and all is setup again.

can you keep us up dated on pure ak justo germed 11 seeds 4 pure ak and 5 extreme indica both FMS and two freebies LA haze and blue haze lost 5 seeds ended up with all 4 ak and 2 ei . perpetual grow like you but hydro 6x11 room 6x5 flowering two 400w hps 4 ebb n flow systems with 4 sites total 16 plants 2 week cycle with 4 moms cfl ebb n flow and 4 clones cfl ezclone bucket in grow tents 5gal yeast and sugar co2 gen window ac sealed room sorry for the blunt writing too many beers and a few grams
