Hello everyone since this is my first post I will tell everyone a little about me. I'm a 26 from Ohio. I am attempting to set up my first grow operation!

Here is my question or dilemma

I have a 7x9x10 room. So that 630 cubic feet

I plan on having two(2) home-made grow tanks

3x3x6 54 cubic feet x 2 = 108 cubic feet

3x3x8 72 cubic feet x 2 = 144 cubic feet

( Have not decided on the height yet so both figures are given )

From what I have gathered I need to cycle the air 1 to 2 times a min. for best results ? I want to connect both hoods together and run through one carbon filter before it goes up in the attic where I plan to have it vented towards my bathroom air drain having it pass through one smaller carbon filter in the attic before attaching it to the bathroom air vent (stink pipe?)

With this information can anyone give me a little insight on what size of can fan or vortex power fan I should be aiming for ? Or better yet what kind of CFM's I need to be pumping out!

I appreciate the input and advice! If you have a better idea or tips I will keep them all in mind.

***EDIT*** I forgot to mention my grow room does have a central air duct vent going into it but is right in front of the door. I know the vent bring cool air in should help me out I just don't know how much ? Plus it is about 10 feet away from the thermostat !

If you are only using a single inline I would say 700-1000 minimum. Or you could probably use several 300-500 6''. I have an excellent 6'' made by elicent

I'm looking at a Can-Fan 10 inch HO 781 CFM. I found one for around $210.00 which is the best price I have found. So it is at the low end of the minimum but do you think it would get the job done ?

Look around, you will find more CFMs for less money elsewhere.

Go to a lowe's or home depot, there is this company suncourt that makes very cheap inline duct fans. They work pretty well. get the 8 inch 500 cfm for like $40 (don't forget a grounded power cord) - get like two or three of these, you should be good to go. They may be cheaper online. They are not super quiet, but you get what you pay for. And you can make a muffler yourself

dont bother with those fans from HD...theyre not made to put a carbon filter on em and prolly dont put out the listed CFMS
