Looking for a new light. I was checking out the Mars Hydro ts3000 for 629.99 CDN. Right about the max of my budget for a new light. Is this a decent value for a premade, plug and play light? I don't want to do a diy and this seems decent. My room is 4'x4' and this light would be for a flower room.

all you need is a pair of wire strippers a screwdriver and wrench, and a little patience. The kit comes with everything. Plus they are much better quality lights and will last a very long time. I think mars has finally put out a decent product just not sure if they're worth it.

yes it is worth the extra money for this type of light. Another good brand I've seen is the Timber LED's https://timbergrowlights.com/redwood-vs/ this is perfect for a 4x4 but expensive as well..
I have had excellent customer service through HLG and just because of that, I am a loyal customer . I had a small problem adjusting a screw on my driver and they sent me a brand new driver for free, no hassle at all!
My old mars lights work ok but these HLG lights are much much better, and the diodes are samsung not epistar
on my old mars light all the LEDS were overdriven and it had fans on it. The new model is fanless so i bet the diodes arent being overdriven anymore, which is a huge improvement.
I would recommend the bava green quantum boards. Alwen the manager lets me have the $190 unit for $150 + shipping. In the budget you have chance are u could get three board. The units are prebuilt with switches all you have to do is hang and plug it in. I reckon you can get 2-3 lights for your money. Migro did a review on em and they are pretty decent.

2 of these would rock a 4x4. The layout of the diodes are unlike any other board. I own them and love em. The spread is so even because of the clusters in the corners.
Since your going to be running the driver dimmed down it will last alot longer now too. I hear alot of people saying their quantum boards outlive many drivers, with no diodes burning out
I hope you love the light, you may also want to grab a cheap LUX meter (20$) and some cal-mag feed. The led's definately make the plants eat alot more cal-mag and the trick to using these boards is dialing in the correct amount of light at the right stages

Man I'm so stoked about this light, should be here next week and I CANT WAIT.
BUT......
I thought the price was 844... well.... it was 844. 844 USD. I'm from Canada so that's roughly 1100 cdn I paid without realizing. Let's just say the girl wasnt thrilled, I almost shit myself. But we are both excited to see it and I've gotten over the shock lol.
