i had one plant under 3 18w cfls, they were very close to the main cola, small but starting to look good. just change the 18's to one 45w and two 28w and moved the light up a little. how much of a diffrence am i gonna see, and should i move the lights back down?

More light is always better, but to answer your question, need a little more info. How old are they? What spectrum cfl?(should be red). If the temp of the bulb isn't that high, it can be pretty close. Hang your thermometer right at canopy level and move the light down until it's the highest comfortable temperature they like. Cfl's aren't gonna give you the fattest or densest nugs, but you more than doubled your light output, so only good things can happen.

I had 4 18w and 1 42w on the first mini scrog I did of bubblelicious and got 16g of it. Wasnt the greatest but using all 42w bulbs will help you a lot

get an hps. you can buy a a 150 off the internet for less than $100. thats the cost of a quad but you will get a lot more than that in yield.
