New light mid flower

I'm four weeks into the 12/12 cycle and a couple times in the last week I've found one of my lights (single chip LED) didnt come on with the timer. Switching the light itself off and back on cures the issue for that "day", but of course I'm concerned that one day it wont, so I've ordered a light and have taken the opportunity to upgrade as well.
Are there any concerns with changing lights mid flower? 20200426_094336.jpg

I hope it is. I just wondered if a sudden change in spectrum or intensity might affect her poorly.
It's a possibility with the intensity. Best to start the better light up higher than the old, and gradually bring it down if the plants don't respond negatively. This will buffer you from any shock or burn. Kind of like an indoor hardening off.

Good point. How long would you think it might take to notice any adverse effects?

I forgot to mention in my last post that as with all changes, monitoring closely for the first few days is important. However, I honestly don't envision you having any problems.

I put seeds that just popped out of dirt, and freshly rooted clones under HID lamps immediately. A stable, mature flowering plant should have no issues whatsoever.

Thanks again, spek9.
I'm just an "if it ain't broke, dont fix it" kinda guy. The grow ain't broke, the light it. The grow has been going good and I hate having to change anything.
