New LED and plant problems

hi guys,

Just got the new light installed (started to flower about 10 days ago). I think 2 of the 4 are female, but I am going to wait another day to make sure as im not sure).

Very new grower, just doing it as a hobby and personal use supply.

I noticed over the last two weeks since I put them under the led that I have had a lot of discolouration in the lower half of the plant. I flushed and added magic cal after the flush. Now the new growth is coming in oddly. The plants just dont look healthy to me.

Here are the details:

The light is an onxy bloom led. Soil is sunshine mix. Temps are sitting right at 73, dropping to around 69-71 with lights off.
The plants were vegged for 6 weeks under cfl. They are just bag seed, I experimented with topping and LST and the plants got a little stretchy. I was debating just scrapping them and starting over with some seeds I got of known genetics. I figured might as well keep going with them and see what happens. Any thoughts on whats going on with them?

Things look good other than that. I know what your saying about how the leaves look weird, but they're fine. As the plant grows the leaves will straighten out and look more normal. I don't have a good answer as to why they do this but I do know it happens with mine too. I wanna say it has to do with the growth rate, but its just a guess.
I would be worried about those leaves turning purple/brown.

Thanks for the reply! Did you mean the new growth turning brown or purple? Or the dark stuff on the plant already? The bottom leaves are turning a very dark green. The calmag seems to have helped. I will wait till the soil dries out and add more. I want to take a few pictures of the plants from profile. The have a few nice tops but very stretched on those branches.

Hope I can at least pull an oz off the 2 of them when they are done. But the learning experience off these ones is more important.

yea just be sure to throw some Calmag in each time you water. doesn't have to be a shit ton, but you do need it. I was talking about the lower leaves. Whe your problem works its way up a plant its normally deficiency. If you see things happening in you newer growth that aren't good, chances are your over fertilizing. try cutting back your nutes by a 1/4 and see how the new growth responds.
You'll get some bud, don't worry, and you have the right attitude to use this grow as a leaning experience.

Are you foliar spraying?

Id warm it up in there a bit, running a bit chilly....they like tropical temps best

hmmmm...you may be overwatering a tad...(claw leaves) just take it easy..relax..and don't 'overlove' your plants...

I wasn't foliar spraying at all.... I didn't know what it was until you said it and I Google it.

Im limited on my ability to control temperature. It is way to hot upstairs and with the fan on to pull through the carbon filter I cant seem to keep the tempts higher. I did reduce the fan to low and got it up to 75.4 like that. I will leave it that way even though it makes the fan just hum an awful sound.

I will also try to reduce water to see if it changes things. I usually go by weight and feel. Before I flushed and added calmag I thought they almost went too long without water as the pots felt bone dry.

Im going to post pics tonight. I tried but the wifi is out of control slow tonight and it was timing out. I think 3 of the four are male but I want a.second opinion before I chop it. I might add a seed or two of hashplant and a seed of purple kusg and just grow them out 12/12 from seed to fill the space.

Could be either. Looks like one I had which was male but didn't know 100% until I hit flower then it grew balls.

Hey Durban how are the plants looking are they still yellowing up? How many inches is your light from the canopy?

The plants are looking nice these days. A few fan leaves on the bottom are yellowing, since adding cal mag they rest of the plant is growing nicely (from what I can tell). I have the panel sitting at 20" above the canopy. I had to move it up because I was noticing signs of heat stress. Thanks for the interest!
