new indoor closet grow room

hellow everyone first time grower here ^_^
what can i say i just got this huge thing its a 105w 6500k 5600 lumens
this are unkown strains i belive i have here 3 difrent strains
the rest of the cfls are 24w 6500k i belive 5 of them
the ladys just turned 10 days old
and im going to get started on my flowering supplies wich i dont seem to understand that well on the lighting i would like to get one of those HPs but i dont know what the ballast is and how to hook one up seems like rocket science to me

im guessing the lady's got some shock from re-potting cuzz they havnt shown any growth in a few days =_=

The best advice I can give you is to read up on HID (high intensity discharge) lighting. Metal Halide for veg and High Pressure Sodium for flowering. One note on your current lighting - you are going to want to adjust those hoods so that the bulbs are more even creating an even plane of light.

I had those clamp lights and they became a huge heat issue and caused me to blow about 5 bulbs. I had to end up cutting off the metal around the light socket. Also if you hit wal mart for 1.99$ in the camping or outdoor section you can get a mylar blanket to line the inside of the closet reflecting a tun of light. I would suggest getting 2 or 3 2700 ranges in there too as the plants like that low end spectrum as well


Are HID lites good yes 100% they are good. They are also expensive put out a metricshit ton of heat and I personly dont see the need for anything more then CFLs and tubes untill you get into the 8+ plants at a time. Again thats just me. I hooked on CFLs.

well i plan to flower only 2 of the best females i got a MH yesterday also but it was busted going to change it tomorow i hope >_<

heat is a really big problem for me since i live in Puerto rico it can get past the 90 easy this days

and yes those things are really expensive =/
if the plant were a little taller i could arrange the ligths better but they seem to be doing ok
i see second set of true leaves already in some
the last strain i planted is coming along slower than the others jeje thats why some look aloot smaller

i jsut found this nice size fan and got the plants alot closer to the bulbs and the temp and nice and cool
