New Homemade Aero Cloner

Many thanks, man. Maybe I should keep this thing going... initially just an experiment to see if the aero thing would work. We'll see.

Impressive! I am really starting to get interested in hydroponics as a new/quicker grow method. I like the Stealth Hydro Bubbleponics/DWC kit using the multi-diverter valve setup, but i can be totally honest and say that i really cant be sure it is the right system for me. There is a hyrdoponics class being held this weekend at Sea-of-Green Hyrdoponics store that i am definately going to take with my girlfriend. Saturday is intro to hydroponics, grow room setups and all the junk. The second day costs only $35 per person and you get to make a hydroponics kit using their tools and equipment, and the best part is that you get to keep the system you make! That means i will be getting two hydro setups this weekend! Bravo on your grow! it really gives me motivation to pursue a deeper interest into hydroponics after seeing your grow ops! Keep up the good work!

geee thanks  .
How are the plants? any root there?
You inspired me , today i'm gone make a similar system, for only 2 clones.

:peace:

I had eight clippings in the cloner. You just cut the lid of a Rubbermaid container to snugly fit neoprene disks available for just this purpose at your local hydro store or online.

I don't have a hydro store nearby so i have to improvise.
But they survive the night and look good.

One of my clones looks very good, straight up; the other one is bending over. Today i'm living on vacation for 2 weeks, hope they will be ok on return.
How are yours?
Hope for good news.

That would freak me out -- leaving for that long. I'd make sure you have new water and it's correctly pHd before I left town, for sure. Other than that, they'll probably be just fine for a week or two. Mine are doing great, out of the cloner and into DWC with 4/5. The one that went into dirt is also doing fine outdoors.

Okay, here's an update with nice progress. Plants are just two weeks since they've been out of the cloner and into 5" net pots + hydroton in my DWC system. Now under 400 watt MH (cooled...)Two Barney's Blue Cheese clones on the left and two Nirvana Wonder Woman clones on the right. I'm most concerned about the temps in the tent, first day with super-bargain Craigslist MH, not sure I need all that light coverage.

Just moved today to get more height on my veg area -- a first and still highly experimental at my place. Enjoy, and please give me your thoughts.

how much did the whole thing coast to make?

Well, let's see:

- Rubbermaid Tub = $7
- Pump = $ 12
- Hose = $5

$24 for parts plus sprayers and incidentals. I'd say I'm under $30. Then you need to factor in a bunch of chemicals, lights, fams, etc. to get real total cost. Thanks for stopping by!
