No you're not.
But if you insist that you're ready, here's my advise:

Keep it simple. Too many people over complicate things and have tons of problems.
Start off with some bagseed - if/when they die, it's no loss.
Only do a couple plants until you get the hang of it.
Browse the regular gardening forums and read some more.
And keep reading....

at the very least will be thousands in inspection fines and all the money to do the work they force you to do. here first inspection cost 5k. then 5k each time they come to look to see its done right. then to get the signature on the title removed so the owner can use his home...till then he cant live in it nor use or sell it. and that final signature up here cost 10k

i dont think the parents would be to happy living upstairs and may loose the home.
