new grower

hi its my 1st post on this site and soon to be my 1st grow.
i have a normal size english closet and i want to grow 2 lowryder plants in it . it has good ventilation but am unsure of what wattage light to use and the light cycle . lowryder2 normally take 8 weeks from seed to harvest i have been told , any tips to make this a great occasion for me ?

Just 2.Lowrider does'nt yield much,150watt is probly the most light you need for 2 LR'z,LR's flower automatically,so just give her the regular schedule 18 hours on 6 hours off.You can grow them with cfls or fluorescents too.

cheers for the quick reply , what about my soil , i know about the ph and all that but is there a good soil i can just buy or do i need mix things together , i aint to bright when it comes to gardening

I would look for Pro-Mix if I was you. Or mix your own. Experiment. A good place to start is 1/3 perlite, 1/3 vermiculite, 1/3 peat moss and a touch of lime for pH and go from there. Perhaps add some guano, compost, blood meal, bone meal, kelp meal, fish emulsions. Try some stuff. Just be careful about how much you add and keep an eye on your pH.

cheers for all the quick replys , but still unsure with this soil , i was hoping to go to a garden centre pick up a bag then its all ready , just a bit unsure on what different things to do to it and how much.

ideally you want soil with no slow release nutrients, and something with decent drainage. there are some soils that come mixed with pearlite/vermiculite but when in doubt just ask for help at your garden center.
