New grower trying to choose a strain

Hey everyone, I am a new grower looking to choose a strain. I'm growing some bagseeds right now for practice but I would like to order a real strain. I'm using for medical, so I'd like it to help with nausea and increase appetite. I also want it to help me sleep.

I want an indica that is short and easy to grow for a newbie, resistant to over/under watering and can take a little extra nutes (I'm still getting the hang of this).

I'm ordering from Attitude, so far the strains I really like are...

Which one of those strains would be good for a newbie? Also if you have other suggestions feel free to throw them out there, but I would really like if you could help me choose two strains from the list. Or if you know another indica from DNA Genetics/Reserva Privada/TGA/Cali Connection thats good for a newbie I would really appreciate that too.

Plus I'm really happy that Attitude just changed their freebies to Dutch Passion, those strains they are giving away look great.

so....why'd you want a short plant? its hard to control heights on normal strains my friend. trust me
you can tame height if you learn to LST of course, but thats no noob thing i guess

hey man im on my new grow now myself and i ordered and indoor mix of seeds from nirvana just to get a taste from different things for a realtivley cheap price... (22.5 Euros for 5 feminized seeds). The one thing i actually regret is that i didnt get autoflowering seeds as well as i am dry out of the good cheeva and this ofcourse affects my patience... so i would advise to get something easy and good like northern lights or blue mystic and autos just to have something to smoke and see your way from there (No point of messing out hard to handle seeds).

nirvana claims they do... although cheif puff puff's thread shows no trace of the color so i guess maybe beacause its a short plant (like a smurf) that its called blue?

Lots of good advice in there. Apparently Cali Connection is the shit. I just ordered chem valley kush, and also fantaseeds- masterkush. In the future I will order kushberry, blue moonshine, and purple kush - all good mostly indica plants

My fav, and doesn't smell like weed, pretty important.
Strongly recommended.

Alaskan Thunder Fuck is a easy one to grow. Grows extrememly fast, I have one under 4 (four foot T5) bulbs. I topped her on 1/1/10 and today is already grown at least 4 to 5 inches. Easy to take cuttings off of too.



Headband 707 is also easy to grow. Takes to Nutrients well and is the lowest maintenance mom I have. The ATF grows the fastest but 707 is very healthy and takes the nutrients better.


Grand Daddy Purple is also a good one to grow, good for beginners. I flowered mine at 12" and at day 41 of flowering she's 32" tall under a 400w hps Hortilux Super HPS bulb.

I would also suggest XJ-13 if you can get some seeds or cuttings. It is a cross between Jack Herer and G13. I am a newbie but I have heard great things about both strains. I got a cutting of her on the 24th of December and she's grown so much already!

I would go for the chem 4 og..sounds good wish i had the extra funds to get it..

I grew some Power Plant by white label seeds a couple of months ago. I get headaches a lot and i often feel sick when i get them, power plant made all the pain and sickness go away after 1 bong. It also made me stuff my face and fall asleep like a baby but i'm yet to find a strain that doesnt do that

If i was gunna do a serious medical grow i've heard amazing things about blueberry, but it is rather difficult to grow from what i've read. You could also try Big Bang by Green House Seeds, its cheap, easy to grow and sold in dutch pharmacies so it must be good. i have some big bang in my fridge waiting for spring

I totally agree, I have a DJ short seed (my favorite seeds) blueberry mother in coco hair that i'm transplanting to a 5 gallon geopot today.

She is the pickest strain out of the 11 I have. Within a day she will let you know if you did not give her enough water or nutrients. Literally within a day, she is twice the work for me as my other strains. Well worth it, Blueberry is awesome, I have 3 herniated discs and that is one of my favorite strains, along with DJ short seed "FLO" for pain.

When I first got her (bought as a mom)

After a few days with my nutrients and indoor conditions...different green color but has grown about 7" in about 8 days! After I transplant to the Geopot I'm sure it will be different again.

Just don't abuse her too much
I love how MJ plants can pretty much bounce back from alot of abuse as long as you are there to fix it. I also say, if you don't know whats wrong, flush and give the plant a few days to recoup, then start 1/4 nutrients again and work your way back.

I hope you grow some nice big blueberry girls! If you got DJ short seed blueberry then you got the original blueberry for sure!

I ordered some Reserva Privada OG Kush, because I love OG Kush and that shit sells so fast on Attitude that I had to jump on it (the OG Kush #18 sold out between the time I looked at it at work and when I got home three and a half hours later). How do you think this strain will treat me?

Plus I got the Dutch Passion freebies; Skunk #11, Mekong Haze, and Orange Bud. Anyone grown any of those?
