hi, new grower here i have read up quite a bit before purchasing my equipment ect. i am starting a small grow inside a cupboard in my bedroom it is aproximatly 40" wide 25" deep and 6 ft high. i do not really want to buy an extraction unit as im trying to keep the cost down a bit. i currently have a 600w sunmaster but im waiting for a 3oow cfl to arive im about to seed 5 white widow fems bought from a dutch site. what kind of veg time or plant size is the best for a quality rather than quantity yield? any more advice is more than welcome!

i am goin to start a weekly post on this thread to let ppl know and see how im getting on,

I'm thinking a 600w light in that small an area is gonna get hot. Maybe something a little smaller would be best. If you want quality not quanity, go small first time around. I would go with two plants, but that's just me. I grew two lovely girls that I only vegged for 4 weeks and got about 4 oz of some tasty stony smoke. Of course the final decision is yours. Good luck

i got a WW fem going right now,you should just lst them instead of planting all 5 and just take clones but its up to you, check out my grow in my sig,its 1 WW fem lst'd,i just got my first pre-flowers today, i would start in a small pot then go 3gal to 5 gal or straight to 5 depending on plant size you might only need 3 gal

well ive just done a dummy run with my 600w i left it on for a couple of hours in my cupboard....... fook that!! it was like an oven in there lol now i know everyone says dont use foil because of hot spot but i hvae got my hands on some really thick stuff that doesnt fold or crease its more like aluminum sheets lol. i think im going to take your advise on the bulb lol im only going to do 2 plants this time with a 300w cfl bulb. its a blue spectrum bulb now i know some say change to red for flowering is this right and what difference does it make?

the blue spectrum is more for leaf growth and red promotes flower growth it makes a difference in your yield
