New Grower - OutDoor Grow ( Tropical ) - Few questions

Hi guys, I'm new to growing. I'm currently starting up a small project, involving growing few plants. 10 - 20 Plants.

My location will be in a more tropical place. The Caribbean. It's always sunny and hot outside.

Seems perfect to me, but there few questions I have before I start.

1) - Would it be good for the plant to be getting all that sun light? The entire day.

2) - Do I put the plants in the regular soil, well a mixture of the one there and some I can buy or can I just leave it in a good sized flower pot?

3) - What kind of infestations do I have to worry about?

4) - With the current lighting, how do I know when it's entering the flowering stage? Does it just get there.. I read for indoor you change the light period and it starts flowering.

I might have more questions later on; will post them in the thread.

I'm doing this not just for personal use but for people who need it, especially my grandfather who has trouble breathing, RLS ( restless leg syndrome ) and many other problems.

When are your days 12/12 or less light? that triggers flowers..auto flowers are an option. Spray azamax as a preventive in veg..mites are always around. Don't know your local pests. Full sun once established. 5 gallon or bigger pots and you can ask for soil recommendations..Fox Farm, etc.. I'm indoor..it's snowing here lol

Well in spring - summer it's about 17 hours of sunlight a day. In fall - winter it's 15 hours.

So I'm guessing I just leave it out for 8 hours or something? If it matters..

Also, the Azamax product you mentioned prevents it from vegetating. So I spray it at it's first growth stages?

Got your message but I am not familiar with Tropical climates so my help would be minimal. :(

Azamax is for mites. It's a pest preventative.

Please do a lot more research before getting your grow started. You will find that it's alot easier to have an idea of what you are doing rather than chasing one problem after another.

Thanks for your help.

I'll make sure to buy all I need. I guess tropical climate is more of a bitch, but supposedly better. lol I thought it'd be better than growing in the states.

And yea, I am doing lots of research, I have time.

Tropical climates have their own challenges. Mold will be a bitch for you too. I would pop into the Florida section to see if some of those guys may have some info for you.
