also one more question: my friend budded a marijuana plant just using the type of light im using.... if you guys say it wont work, then why did it work with him? i saw it as well

Couple of 40w floros should be just fine for 2 plants. As far as your buddy growing with a reg. light blub, he may have just had extremely good luck and his plants probably wernt very potent and his yield was probably really low. I tried to grow some plants using reg. light bulbs and failed miserably... maybe i just have shitty luck though lol. Tell you what, depending on where you live, you can go to walmart and pay $20 per 4ft. floro... or you could go on ebay or your local hydro store (they are online as well) and get good deals on the other kinds of lights i mentioned earlier...

naw man i just mentioned that my friend grew em with soft whites 75W.. thats how i start it... if im here is because im asking for help, im not denying your advice bro.. im just sharing how my friend grew his with regular soft whites.... im a rookie what should i know??

im getting some new light fixtures this week, hopefully my plant grows a little more mature.


ill post some pics tho so u guys can see my setup and lighting so i can get extra tips on how to grow some bomb shit

you can grow seed/clone to harvest if you want

yeah... if i do not remove the males from my plant will i not get any buds from females? or is it mandatory to remove the males so they dont pollinate the females.

its like life

Males get the females preg (male plants polinate the females)
Hermi plant is both a male and female

it doesnt mean the females wont bud... it just means the bud will have seeds in it and wont be as potent. When the plant is pollenated it redirects its growth into the seeds instead of the flower itself. It might also give you a headache unless you deseed it first

You havemuch reading to to before your plants have a fighting chance at survival. First your going to want to look up a grow shop or hydroponics shopin your phone book go there and you will find very weed orientated products. altho for your forst grow keep it simple. Use as high watted DAYLIGHT shade compact florecent(dont use the tube form they are ineficient). Ask the grow shop guy for an organic nutrient for vegetative growth(as it wont easily burn your plants) , then your going to want some PH up and down (although i find tapwater is usualy at 6.2 were i live so i dont realy have issues) soil ph can fluctuate.Next your gonna need a ph meeter and a moisture meter you can get a 10$ combo meter from home depot thatl do the trick.Your gonna want to water them according to the moisure meter , let the soil dry out and then saturate it when the meter hits about 4.AND most importantly move them into large containers (i use 5 gallon pails) before they outgrow their container and you stant their growth,

PS try looking at chapters for some thorough reading material

also DO NOT USE those lights The reason being that you need a blue-red spectrum of light to grow weed your choices are cf,s hps metal halide,LED and i cand remember some onthers but dont waste your money on them anyway, your friend prabably had some other light coming in or frequently looked at his plants because under incadecent buls sproutlings will get verry tall weak and start to fall over, im guessing your plants look like bean shoots as my firs ones did, also 1 PLANT PER POT its already to late for your plants as the roots are tangled and you will shock them bu trying to undo this, dont give up on em but i suggest starting a new crop when youare fully prepared
