New grower, need help in a challenged environment-cold

Nice! I was going to frame out with 2x4s and use cement board like they use in showers and stuff behind the tile. the sell it in 3x5 sheets so it would have been perfect to make the 9x5 rooms I was going to do. There's quality mylar films that you can wash and use for years that I was going to line the walls with. Eventually Id like to still do that. I am happy with the tent for now, but there several things I could improve by framing out a similar sized room. It would give me an extra foot in over half the space too.

We get into the 20's in winter and over 105 in summer at times, with normal temps in the mid 90's in summer, so I get it coming and going...lol.

The hardboard is cheaper and lighter, and water resistant. Nice to have the headroom also.

well that was the benefit of the cement board over drywall. Its mold/rot/water proof too, it really seems like an ideal material to build grow room walls with and its cheaper than drywall.
I didnt see anything like your hardboard when I was shopping around, ill have to look into that when I revisit rooms. I got doors and everything.

Foamboard

A not cheap option are "SIP's" , basically two sheets of OSB sandwiched with spray foam between them, R values are crazy for them. Had some put on my patio roof, no more radiant heat...lol

Hps light keeps me warm this time of year I vent it into my house I’m in eastern Canada. So our weather is similar . It’s going to be hard if your bring in cold air from out side your tent / foam room .

Fragileassasin, These environmental controllers you talk about, do you have a link to one? Sounds like it would help me out.
