I basically germinated the seeds in water, 3 out of 6 actually germinated.
now I lost one to over watering.
and I'm just wondering if someone can just look at the photos, tell me I'm a newbie to this and could kinda tell me if I'm doing something wrong?
my setups shit, I use lights (40w cfls in lamps), I can't afford much stuff, but if you could link me up that'll be helpful. Most days the sit on the windowsill in sunlight.
sorry if I sound annoying, it's my first grow. :D
thanks in advance.image.jpgimage.jpg

Your lights need to be closer. Your pots need to be darkened, not clear. You will not be able to finish with those lights so get working on a new lighting plan.

#1 would be to spend a lot of time reading the stickies in the forums that are appropriate to the questions you are asking. There are
so many problems here I don't know where to start.....first NEVER use clear containers, the roots need dark. Second I'm not sure what you are using for soil/medium, but for the wee ones you might try Fox Farm Happy Frog , just right for seedlings. Also no need to soak your seeds....all kinds of seeds germinate in DIRT in nature. Try red solo cups with happy frog...put the soil in the cups, lightly water, then put your seeds on top of the soil, point down and sprinkle ONLY about a quarter inch of the same soil over the top of the seed...DO Not Plant too deep. The horizontal orientation of your bulb is correct, but it needs to be over the plant, NOT beside it. You need some type of white or reflective material around/over your plant area. The single CFL at about 1 or 2 inches above the plants will do for a little bit....I hope it is a blue spectrum (2700 K) area bulb, but you will need more as they grow, and red spectrum, once they pre flower....I could go on and on and on. Refer again to my first sentence. What you have is a major recipe for DOOM..... And discouragement. Most of the people here are good helpful people, BUT....we are more accommodating when we know you have done some research and your attemp doesn't look like a bad joke. Do some work first...apply that knowledge and then come back to the membership with your problems that are not related to you being unable or unwilling to do some work first, before you try a grow with zero knowledge....One look at your photos, and it is no surprise there was no help forthcoming. You couldn't have done any research at all, and a lot of the membership has issues reanswering the same questions over and over for people who don't research and prepare first. Not trying to be a jerk, but this was one of the worst or the worst attempt at growing I have ever seen here. Pay your dues and at least learn the basics before you ask someone else to do it for you. I sincerely wish you good luck. Peace & be kind.

I'll get on to the pots, I'll look around the forums and see what's good for the lighting setup.

its simply like that, you make mistakes, you learn. I'll go read up so more, learn a little info. Thanks for the help, didn't sound like a jerk at all.

just looked, the lights are 2700k, so at least I got one thing good. But I know you need at least 6500k for later stages.

My daughter, at an age likely younger than you are now, got busted in school for dealing out.

I'll tell you the same thing I told her. If you want to be stupid, go ahead, but don't do it unless you're ready to do some time.

She listened, now she's a doctor, and we toke together when we have time to visit one another.

Stay in school. Great if you're growing and I wish you all the best, but imho, you're being stupid.

Yea I would move them closer also but ive been their before to with low money. but if u go to home depot they gt plug in sockets and ones that split 4 like 75 cents. and their cfl's are cheap too. u can get a pack of 4 23w witch = 100wats cfl's for less then 20 or close to that much. one last thing u might want to put tinfoil around em to if u cant paint the walls flat white. But you can get something like a peace of cardboard and wrap it in foil also and put it as close to the top of your lites. Maybe even around em like lil ghetto walls. Each light has lumens and those are low in em. I would at least have close to 10,000 lumens witch each 23w cfl has about 2000 maybe a lil more or less but a couple of those and youll be good.

Actually the 2700 K lights should be for flowering, and the 6500 K are for vegging. Keep trying...you really will get there eventually..most of us were a long way from brilliant when we started. My bad on the mis info.. I messed up on a basic fact I have known for a very long time..to many tokes of my own home grown. Like I said...keep gettin after it...you will get there if you persist.
