Hey guys, I recently ordered a grow tent with everything I need. I purchased some GH Grow Rapid start, GH Grow and bloom, with Promix HP soil. I'm not positive on how to feed them correctly. Do I mix the Rapid Start with the Grow or use separate? I also have a PH tester but didn't buy PH UP or DOWN. I read there was natural ways of getting the PH up or down, is this correct? My tent will be here next week so I want to have everything ready. Should I start to germinate the seeds or wait until everything would be in? Thanks a lot!

Also what is a feeding cycle like? Just nutrients every second feed or every feed?

I'd set up the tent and get the environment right first. Dont have babies without a home.
You can use lemon juice and baking soda as ph up or down respectively if you need

Don't germinate seeds until you have a clear idea of how and when to feed your plants, how much, etc. What is the PH of your tap water to begin with? If you live in a city, there will be a water quality report online that lists some important info like alkalinity, total hardness, etc. Let us know what your water is like to begin with, that way we can give you better answers. In the meantime, I'd look up the specific products you bought in the forums and read as much as possible from people who've used them in the past-look up feeding schedules, look up "lucas formula" (which uses those products). Look up watering methods. You want as much information before you start as possible.

Thanks!! I've done much research and I have an Idea of how I will feed them. First time so basically an education run. The water I'm using is 6.0. My tap water isn't great so I'm using reversed osmosis with a 6.0 - 6.5 PH range

I wouldn't even waste your time with the organic ph up and down, save yourself tons of headaches and get both. your ph of your water may be 6.5 now but once you start feeding nutes it will drop drastically and you will wish you had some. I adjust my ph through out the week from 5.8 to 7.5 and back again, I like to hit the sweet spots for individual minerals, while keeping it within check.

Are you going organic ? Living soil and prefertilised mix ? If you start with pre fertilised soil then you need to watch for the point its exhausted all the nutrients from soil then add amendments, ph fluctiations can occur round this time as another poster pointed out, if you going for the living soil then you feed the soil rather than the plant. I’m in a hard water area and my water is left at least 48 hours before use and also keep an eye on water temp so no shocks to stun growth.
Good luck all the same, i would read up on getting them started once they in the ground so to speak start thinking off a feed schedule while keepinh close eye on them. They tell you what they want and they’l tell you if ph levels out of range.
Good luck
