New grower. Help please!

Hello fellow growers. I am new to growing and I've encountered a problem. A couple of days ago I discovered a worm inside my bud. I proceeded to searche ther rest of the plants and found a total of 5 worms in only two of my seven plants. I picked them off and killed the little fuckers. Next morning I check the same plants again and find two more, a friend of mind recommended me to spray my girl with safer caterpillars killer concentrate. I mixed two tsp to a gallon and sprayed them. The next day I noticed the hairs got brown, was it the spray? Did I ruin my crop? I also notice that there not sticky anymore. I don't know the exact flowering week I'm in, but the seed sprouted on June 5th, so i figure it's mid to late flower? I'm growing Cali Og Kush from crop king.

Thanks.

I wouldn't spray anything on your flowers and I mean anything but that's just me her hairs are pretty orange and look to be drawing back into the calyxes I'd say she's near ready to harvest I'd chop her before the worms eat her from the inside out and maybe give her a wash or water cure to try wash off that Nasty spray, but I wouldn't wanna smoke caterpillar killer, would you?

Safer is just another BT. Your fine. Safer® Brand Caterpillar Killer Concentrate uses a naturally occurring bacterium to kill and control caterpillars and other leaf-eating worms.

I used Neem Oil a few years ago and it worked well. I also have just picked them off my brocolli and the plants were fine.

Everybody is different .....if you've got worms or mites in early flower....sometimes there's no choice ....I agree spraying late in flower isn't ideal ....but there are options to do so ...his crop isn't ruined by no means is the point here.

Thank you guys all for the input. Yes unfortunately I wasn't educated enough on the subject to prevent the worms, but I guess we live and we learn right? The spray seemed to work .. I found a burned worm inside the flowers.. but my concern was the change of color of the pistils. And the reduce stickiness of the plant.

The only problem with BT is that it breaks down in sunlight. Cloudy days are the best time to spray.

If you did do homework on it, you would see just how safe and ORGANIC using BT is. http://www.bt.ucsd.edu/how_bt_work.html
So I read up on the bt and I still wouldn't use it personally, i just couldn't bring myself to spray anything on my flowers, I'd rather use other insects to fight insects but I'm. It sure what bugs eat budworm tbh. (Ladybirds are our friends lol) I had budworm on my last outdoor crop and just picked em all out... then we had 4 days of rain and I lost a couple top colas to rot.

Only thing I can think of for worms other than BT would be parasitic Wasp. Good Luck with that rout.

No thank you very much lol I'll stick to my looking glass and tweezers, I'm sure I read somewhere that ladybugs eat the eggs though? Or I could be mistaken

If you are going to spray I'd rather use coriander oil than neem. It is totally safe and actually imparts a nice flavor as opposed to the way neem oil ruins the taste.
